GUILTY OR - Yashanee Vaughn, 14, Portland, 19 March 2011

An unbelievable revelation by Bennette's attorney. This makes me so incredibly mad. This is despicable.

"The 14-year-old victim's family was ready for that to happen in court Thursday, but they weren't prepared for a bombshell revealed by Bennette's lawyer.

He stood up in court and said they knew where Yashanee's body was early on in the investigation, but decided to wait before alerting the authorities."

I can't believe this is legal.

omg- isn't that interfering with an investigation, accessory after the fact or something??? Is that even legal to do? really??
The audacity to allow that family further anguish when she could have been laid to rest much sooner. Shocked.

I hope there are charges that can be brought against these attorneys or that they will lose a very expensive lawsuit. :furious::furious::furious::furious::furious::furious::furious:

Interesting comments under there.

I can't believe how young he'll be when he gets out, even if he serves all of his time. He'll be 34. He will be young and know more about being a criminal after all that time in prison. Scary to think what he might become.
