PA PA - Lower Providence, BlkFem 60-75, 402UFPA, Crocheted Slippers, dress, smock, Feb'74

Today I came across this 1963 mugshot from Philly and the woman in the photo immediately reminded me of this UID . Even her clothing . Only problem is I can not locate any more info on the mugshot.
I thought o would post it since the woman reminded me of this UID so much.

More unidentified cold cases cases in Montgomery County

Feb. 9, 1974

The nearly skeletonized remains of a white woman were found in Lower Providence. Cause of death was homicide. Estimates are she was dead three months before she was found.

She is described as 60 to 75 years old, 5-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds.

There is no physical description of the woman, but she had arthritis of the back and knees and had new fractures to her left Lower arm.

She was wearing a corset, bra, girdle, an orange housecoat with floral design (a safety pin was found in the right pocket) a light-colored knit dress, stockings and purple hand-crocheted slippers in plastic bags labeled "Marvel Enriched Bread."

She doesn't look nearly as much like the new reconstruction--the chins don't match--but she sure looks like the old one. Oh my.

The face looks very much like her, but the weight does not match. The lady in the mugshot looks quite overweight (look at arms and back), while our UID was a slim woman. She could have lost weight in the meantime, that is possible.

I had read she was 5’2 and 170. I remember that because iam 5’1 and no where near 170. That’s what made me look at the lady in the mugshot too. But again there is no name so I have no idea who she is.

Wow CCJD I have never seen this other Sketch. Iam assuming it’s the very first one. Thanks for posting this.

I agree she does NOT look like the new one.. but the old one the expression, mouth, jowls, hair.. seriously when I saw her I thought omg the crochet house dress lady. And she even looks like she is wearing a sleeveless house dress in the photo. I bet she even had a tissue in her pocket ha!

I just darkened and separated the images CCJD posted to see them better.

The photo must have come from some police archive. They also likely still have her file if they have her photo.

This one also has the point at the chin like the mugshot woman.

They all have the somewhat-to-quite beaky nose.

I wonder how one goes about tracking down who's in a historic mugshot?

@madamx may I ask where you found that picture? I'm working on trying to figure out the identity of the women in the mugshot.
I was interested in the photo myself, so i did some digging and found it!! It is part of series of mugshots collected by
Mark Michaelson called Broads, Dames, Dolls, and Dishes.
Google is WONDERFUL!! JMO MOO
edit to add -- still searching, will report more later

I found it on google searched under vintage mugshots women and it popped up. I actually had found another mugshot that looks like another PA PA - PA - Philadelphia, Schuylkill River, WhtFem 30-60, UP16623, Fur Hat, Lord & Taylor Skirt, Mar'68
Since then I have been looking at mugshots. Unfortunately I can’t get any info from the mugshots and that is where I would get stuck.

I'm slippin'. Somehow I missed a NamUs update from July 27, 2022. UID is now classified as Black/African American and the Lewis Trowbridge recon is no longer on the case report.
