Sorry to be a downer- but isn't this section of the board only supposed to be for hard/media information? Discussion is for the Missing/Located discussion board, right?

I was all excited when I saw all of the posts- but sad to see that the majority of the posts were about a poem that she did not write... I was hoping to see some updated media articles- not speculation.

Sorry... but this is one of my pet peeves. Threads become out of control, and you have to read through/ fish through speculative info. I appologize in advance if I am incorrect.

Also, ABSOLUT- thank you for the link to the new planet huff article.
 
A 14-year-old girl was missing after her parents were shot to death in their home Sunday morning, and authorities issued an arrest warrant for an 18-year-old believed to be her boyfriend.

Michael and Cathryn Borden, both 50, were killed shortly after 8 a.m. in their home in Warwick Township, about 60 miles west of Philadelphia.

The couple's 9-year-old son, David, the youngest of five children, had fled to the home of neighbors, who called 911, said Lititz Police Chief William Seace. An older daughter still living at home and two adult sons were also safe, he said, but Kara Beth Borden, 14, was gone.

"We don't know whether she has been abducted or is willingly a part of this," Seace said, but he said until police can determine otherwise, they are operating on the assumption Kara was kidnapped.

Authorities Sunday night issued an arrest warrant for David G. Ludwig, 18, on two counts of criminal homicide, one count of recklessly endangering and one count of kidnapping.

I was thinking about this one all evening. How sad. I think she got in way over her head with this older boy and is in real danger now whether it's from him or from herself. I hope they find them soon.

Kara was last seen at home around 8am on November 13, 2005. She may be in the company of an adult male. They are traveling in a red 1998 Volkswagen Jetta 4 door sedan Pennsylvania plates #EHH0994. They may be headed to Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.

Mifflin County is in the center of the state- below Centre County.

NBC10 has been reporting two liscence plate numbers- the original #EHH0994 and AEA7457.

No new articles- all of them are one version or another of the AP story.
 
I was thinking about this too... I sure hope she's ok.... but it reminded me of Charlie Starkweather :sick:

Charlie Starkweather!! That is exactly what I was thinking. From what I have read, the only reason the parents disapproved of them seeing each other was because of his age. I hope it doesn't turn into a "he said, she said" like the Starkweather case.:doh:
 
I pray Kara is found safe and she is a victim, as well....but I just don't know. No one has seen this vehicle or these kids anywhere in 24 hours? I missed the press conference this morning...are there any leads at ALL? I just have this awful feeling that Kara and and this boy may have gone somewhere and committed suicide or something. :(

I pray I am wrong.
 
A caller to a Philadelphia radio station this morning said that the kids were still in the Lititz area last night, that the boy had called a friend and confessed, the police talked with the friend and the friend went to where the kids were holed up to try to talk him out. The girl had a gun to her head the whole time. The police chose not to try to capture them because of the risk to the girl.

I don't know if ANY of that story is true and I have some doubts...but thought I would pass it along.

I think the part about them still being close by is probably true. It wouldn't be hard to hide the car in a barn or something. I think he probably has her someplace where it is relatively easy to keep her under control.

If that story is true, then God help that little girl. This is just awful.

Despite an Amber Alert for a missing 14-year-old girl, police say they have no new leads in the search for the girl's 18-year-old boyfriend who may have shot and killed her parents Sunday morning.

Authorities expanded their search for the missing pair across the eastern U.S. on Monday.

The girl's sister watched her father get shot to death as he was escorting an 18-year-old man from their home on Sunday after an argument, according to court records.

David G. Ludwig gunned down the missing girl's father and mother and took the girl away from the house at gunpoint, police said. Neither Ludwig nor Kara Beth Borden, who is believed to be Ludwig's girlfriend, has been seen since the slayings, and police are treating her disappearance as a potential kidnapping.

Somebody asked where David got the gun. He was a hunter. He probably had access.

Yes the myspace page he had up showed him with a deer hanging up during a hunting trip. (I was going to say "dressing out" a deer instead of "a deer hanging up" but I am not a deer hunter and so don't know much about the terms used.)
