They need to slap his picture on 'Wanted-Reward!" posters, and plaster the posters everywhere around that part of the world.

If someone could make more money by turning him in, than by helping him, he will be caught in no time.

Every hotel, every rooming house, every bus station, every airport, every taxicab, every bar, every brothel, every street corner.

Gee, Thanks for that Betty P. Looks like he might be finding out that being on the lam is no picnic! Who knows what is in that head of his. He really has no control with that international warrant looming. Angry he can't do what he thought he could in flying to Cusco, maybe a bit panicked finding it hard to lay low when he sticks out like a sore thumb down there.

I hope he is sweating bullets and too chicken to end his own life in his desperation to escape the area.

I bet it is all over the news in Chile, so the chances are prolly pretty good he knows Interpol is on his tail !!!
 
They were discussing where he was prior to his fathers death. then said he went home for the funeral, hung around for a few months and left. o'reilly says he's selling drugs for money. then ended up down in south america with the casinos and gambling.

He could very well be a serial anniversary murderer - with past murders not receiving much attention. Could explain why this one is so obvious. moo

Chicago news had a video of the father holding a picture of Joran begging for information as to his whereabouts.

Kudos to the poster that made it. (Sorry I can't remember the name or which page it was on).

That Joran is decompensating (if we assume he is a psychopath even though I am aware that term is not in standard use anymore). That could be why is was so very sloppy with this particular murder.

I do disagree that he is psychotic though. IMHO he is not suffering from a psychosis or psychotic break but he has a severly disordered personality JMHO.

And as Linda pointed out (and anyone else that I missed) his Father is now deceased and IIRC there was a moment in reading about an interview his Father gave to Greta (?) and Beth (Natalee's Mother) wereby Joran's Father showed physical signs of distress and nervousness. Indicating he had covered up for his son and was continuing to do so. JMHO but Joran's Father did the coverup for the Natalee murder.

We look at the MO. We look at the date this murder is said to have occured. Joran had enough common sense to flee, but he didn't have enough common sense to hide or dispose of Stephany's body and clean up the crime scene. That could indicate decompensation.

He'll run but JMHO he won't commit suicide. If he does I'll be very surprised. I'd also be surprised if he hasn't contacted his remaining parent yet. JMHO.

(Yes I agree we must look at this from all sides but when we have a fact that is so glaring such as two young women that were in this young man's company died shortly thereafter---we can pretty much give that one our full attention until it's proven otherwise---just how I digest info on cases is all JMHO)

We never have maids come into our rooms. We always get linens etc. from them. We leave the "do not disturb sign" on the door for our stay. I'm not a fan of someone I don't know having access to my things.
 
I think he will try to travel by boat next. He will offer any money he can to someone to get him out of the area.

We've currently been staying in a hotel for the last 6 days. The Maid has not stepped into our room. I have not allowed anyone to do so. I have kept the Do Not Disturb sign up the whole time. JMHO.

Possible, or he may try to find someone to fly him in a charter or private plane. All the airports will be looking for him now, he missed his chance if he tried to use his ticket at the airport at the Chile border (Chacalluta International Airport). IIRC, a news story said he had flown Avianca Air to Lima, but according to Wikipedia, Avianca doesn't fly out of Chacalluta. Wonder how much cash he has on him?

I agree - pretty much impossible to gamble when psychotic. Doubt Joran would unwrap date rape drugs if psychotic - walk her to the room, stay a few hours and leave with her wrapped in a blanket. Sloppy, yes, but he could have been the same way with Natalee and his daddy cleaned it all up. Sounds to me like the frenzied murder (many stab wounds) left him quite exhausted so that he wasn't attentive to detail. moo jmo and all that stuff

Joran Van der Sloot went to the Neatherlands after Natalee's disappearance. Evidently, from there he was traveling in Asia, and came back to Aruba when his father died. He stayed in Aruba about 3 months, but couldn't find work, and went to South America.

His father died on Feb. 10, 2010, so if he stayed in Aruba for about three months after his father's death.........he's only been in South America for about 3 weeks.

I know he's been to Thailand, the human trafficking capital of the world....

What was the deal he was filmed trying to persuade young women to relocate for "work"? I believe it was basically sexual slavery and his cut was 13k per warm body...was it not?
 
I would just love to have a few cocktails ( spiked with Sodium Pentothal) with his mother....ahhhh the stories I bet she could tell.
