I really dislike this thread. And this subject.
I didn't want to write this, but now that we've heard about four teenaged boys trying to abduct a girl in Olympia, it seems like the right thing. So.

Thurston County is next to Gray's Harbor County, where McCleary is. The Thurston County Sheriff's Office's lists juvenile RSOs, by name and complete with photo, last known address, a description of his/her crime, relationship to, and age of, the victim; and age when crime committed.

That first one looks so young! And look, there's a woman, and another child-faced monster. 15. 14. His sister. Was 9.

I thought, surely, there can't be many.
Surely, they won't be cute.
Surely, they won't be brutal.
Surely, they're not out among us.

But they are.
I think we have to look at them. Kind of like a vaccination. I hope.

I don't know if this has been mentioned by anyone but me but feel this is a good place to put it.

There is a town near McCleary named Montesano, only minutes from each other. It's also a small town on the same highway. Anyway, there's a sex offender social group that gathers in Montesano to talk about stuff, get "fixed" (barf), and what have you. It's called SOSA. I'm interested in that place as it's a social group in a certain radius around Montesano and I'm not sure how far. I don't know if they go as far as Thurston County. I wonder if we have to broaden into other counties.

I'm from WA and VERY familiar with that area. There is a sex offender I know who is not listed as he was a level 1 for REASONS I CAN'T COMPREHEND as he raped a 10-year-old girl. Of course, as usual, that's what he got CAUGHT doing. I know more about his past as well. He currently lives in Aberdeen. I wouldn't put it past him to abduct, but I really don't think he has the capacity to kill. He's not on the registry because he's a level 1 so I am not listing his name, but if anyone wants to know more, they know the protocol. LOL

SOSA must not be an "official" thing. Must be a something the SOs have put together themselves? Can you get more info? Like where they meet, what days, times? Anything?

No one I know is talking about it here in Montesano. I've asked Probation officers, correctional officers and the local cops.. They are either not talking (maybe it's supposed to be a safe place for them so the general public doesn't get any info?) or it's a secret meeting thing among SOs because no one will give me any info on it.

This guy is from the Seattle area. Saw this on side-bar near Tumwater story. He went to Disney World and responsible for 6 incidents of molesting children.

Okay Smiley lists an excavation company on his myspace.
I search that company, it leads me to a home building company with the same phone number as the one on Smiley's myspace page.

Any chance he was doing a construction job in the area the day in question?

ETA- Have also tied the owner of this construction company's family member to the general area, where she works for a charity that provides resources to runaways.

Here's another missing sex offender courtesy of Washington's Most Wanted. His last victim was a 15-year-old boy, but anything is possible. Level 3. Pierce County is pretty close to Grays Harbor County. Fife is about an hour from McCleary. Plus, the whole salt-and-pepper/gray hair thing...

From what I know, most of them tend to stick to a general age range, but not necessarily gender. Some will also follow gender, but not all. It all just depends on which wack-job it is, I think.

Dear friends: I did a search for sex offenders in Shelton, WA, which is a neighboring city to McCleary, WA. On one site there were details of the offenses and I can't find it now, but on the below listed offender there were literally 100's of offenses against multiple children, both female and male. This man is now listed as: homeless.
