Troy: “You have mitigation hearing coming up at penalty phase. You know what your mitigating factors are going to be and how you are going to play that?”

Jodi: “Well I’ve been told I don’t have any mitigating factors.”

Troy: “By who?”

Jodi: “My attorney.”

Troy: “So Kirk Nurmi said there are no mitigating factors for you in terms of arguing against the death penalty?”

Jodi: “Um nothing that is what you typically see in a case like this, such as a childhood where there was drugs, alcoholism, molestation, none of those things occurred in my family so I guess we would sort of joke that my mom didn’t beat me hard enough, so I don’t have mitigation.”

Troy: “So what are you going to do?”

Jodi: “They feel that I would be a suitable candidate to behave myself in a correctional facility and just not be a problem. That may be their angle, I don’t know.”

OHH! Could this explain nurmi bringing up this interview? Did JM make it clear he plans to use her own words against her!?? No physical abuse or emotional abuse from her parents which surely contradicts Dr F's testimony that JA came from an abusive home. And contradicts their mitigation factors as well.

JA opened her mouth too soon. Bet she didn't think there's be another trial where these words could be used against her. Please play this for the jury!!

Nurmi: If Travis was "covering his tracks," who the heck was he covering them FROM? He certainly never anticipated this abomination of a hearing. Why would he be hiding *advertiser censored* on his own PC?

He wasn't "covering his tracks." How underhanded of Nurmi to say so! He had anti-malware software on his machine (Spybot, for one) that protected it from being hijacked to different sites, including *advertiser censored* sites. Every time the anti-malware software detects an attack, that is recorded in the REGISTRY of the computer. This is what I suspected from the start and what was confirmed by today's testimony. And I don't think it's beyond the judge's knowledge or comprehension. I'm 57 and used Spybot years ago.

AZ. Read a lot about this case. Thought the whole prosecution case was very weak and suspected the detective was lying. Just another reason our courts need to be open to the light of day...I think if the Milke trial was televised ..there is no way she would be convicted. I cannot believe she spent so much time in prison. So sad

Besides, people looking for child *advertiser censored* on the internet have all kinds of software for hiding their identities, tunneling, and encrypting and decrypting steganographic images and stuff like that. There's lots more to it than just search terms and web browser history.

And, if I understand child *advertiser censored* "discoveries" (and I'm not sure I DO) ... whoever uncovers these vile images is -- by law -- supposed to report them; then turn over to LE the hard drives/files, even if the files are discovered as part of a defense investigation. Also, any such files/drives are to be solely in the hands of LE. If the investigator retains these files, that investigator can be charged with child *advertiser censored* possession.

Probably because she's already been sanctioned or whatever for possible misconduct in this case(re previous comments on what her duties actually are), this may have been her 3rd strike chance so he came along to see for himself whether this was it or not.

I dont fully understand the job of mitigation specialist but I am pretty certain that when they are employed under that role, I am willing to bet money that they are not supposed to be talking about their cases in Social Media OR especially not supposed to go directly to the news media and offer to be interviewed.

Disagree, Curious, about Nurmi making a decent closing. Read BK too. He was all over the place. Disjointed, sloppy, full of disproved accusations, misrepresentations, and half truths.

JM's made it clear he sees the motion as an "ad hominem" attack on him, replete with all of the above.

Both are arguing, bottom line, about whether the *advertiser censored* should be admitted.

Hi Hope. When I compare notes from BK with tweets from other media in the courtroom, I got a clearer picture of what Nurmi was saying. I wish everyone could just see this live. We would still have differing views. I thought he did okay in his closing. Considering he has nothing. Yes, he jumped from one topic to the other. Most topics were covered before this hearing. He was ridiculous to being up Milke three times and insisting there was *advertiser censored* but providing no proof of it. I guess he seemed more concise because of the way Beth wrote it, with complete sentences instead of one liners. So maybe Beth should get the credit instead of Nurmi? Anyway, for me it wasn't as disjointed as what I read here. Makes no difference as I think the whole idea of this hearing was a sham.

I don't think Nurmi believes it even as he says it. But he is anti DP and let's face it, no defense attorney wants his client to get DP. I think he is just going for broke, i.e., dismiss conviction as well, because he has an opportunity to spew so, hey, why not.

As disgusting as it is, it's clear what the DT is doing in this case, they started out with their very unprofessional "professional" witnesses with their very unprofessional, juvenile lingo, i.e., "slime" and "slimy" when being questioned by Juan. Then they ended their case by very pointedly alleging that Juan voiced an interest in seeing if there are any nude photos of CMJA on the computer. It's just disgustingly and sickeningly obvious the lengths they are willing to go to, and that their primary goal is to do everything they can to trash Juan. It's just Beyond. Disgusting.

I'm beginning to seriously believe that states like Arizona should just do away with the death penalty. It's obvious to me that the DP does not cohere with the political / social / moral climate in that state. And it's just not worth it , IMO, when it wreaks this much havoc and destruction on the families and the prosecution. jmo

Thats exactly the point. We have not seen 1 picture of this alleged "*advertiser censored*".

We just heard Nurmi spew about possible *advertiser censored* and URLs to redirects to possible *advertiser censored* browser hits that the experts admitted could have been mainly from a virus.

Whether those URL links were even there on the original copy or not is in question because they could have been unleashed with all the DT actions. But no matter , they are not *advertiser censored* pictures.

And surely no evidence of child *advertiser censored* has been proven yet.
And surely no evidence of LE purposely doing anything to hide anything. If anything the DT may have when Jodi had the realms.

And wish Juan would have mentioned the PC of Travis was accessible to others in his house. Its not like he kept his laptop in a safe. And he could have mentioned that Jodi had access to his computer after she killed him. She had lots of time after she killed him to sabotage the PC. We know she was doing laundry afterall.

I hope JSS rules properly here. This is a no brainer to me. Nurmi didnt prove squat. Good Grief she had better get this right.

I think she will deny Nurmi's requests. This was a sham.

Her seemingly uncontrollable desire to be in the spotlight, whenever and however, means she just can't keep her mouth shut. And her habit of playing the victim also undermines her own defense. Announcing that her mean attorney says she has no mitigating factors was so stupid. Boo hoo. Poor Jodi, you're not as clever as you like to think you are.

Since they're illegal wouldn't they just get shut down as soon as they went online? I thought the thing with pedophiles was to do some kind of file sharing between themselves. There are ways to meet each other online but they don't actually publish child *advertiser censored* on a website. But I'm not an expert, really, I'm not, honest!

YouPorn is no child *advertiser censored*. Child *advertiser censored* websites are disgusting hidden websites on the web. They don't have obvious names like YouPorn! That thing would be shut down so quick!!
