Well, the first trial sky rocketed their ratings. They should be able to have freedom of press for the second round. What I know is true, is that if HLN puts this trial back on, I'd be one of the viewers.

Try it on the interwebz! :floorlaugh: No, seriously, no commercials, no editorials, and it doesn't drag on into the evening.
I DO think MSM WILL try to get the "video AFTER the verdict" challenged before the trial starts. Youtube will be the "go to" place if it doesn't happen just because it's a constant stream with no interruptions...well, except sidebars or migraines.

Thanks Bernina. I streamed most of it on YouTube last time, or AZ news live stream channel.
Back then, I was a shift worker, but now I work days.
I do love how JVM and NG dramatize it though. I can't watch it now. Shucks ..

He's a "lone wolf", have yet to see him prosecute a trial with a 2nd chair. His "sidekick" is usually the main detective in the case. Personally, I think a female 2nd chair would end up in a court :bigfight:with CMJA. She does have the ability to get under most female's skin. She's such a smart :behind: you just want to :slapfight:.
That would be Judge Stephens. ;)

Judge Sherry Stephens ruled that the penalty phase may be recorded but that any resulting audio or video recordings may not be made public until after a verdict has been reached, according to court papers.

The judge also said that in the unlikely case she opts to change course and allow limited live broadcasts, such airings would be subject to a 15-minute delay. <----------There's hope folks!

If we go by this, we would be waiting forever, since this will take awhile. :sigh:

From 2nd link:

" "Jodi was escorted in wearing her stripes that said 'not sentenced' on the back. The jingling of her chains were a reminder she’s a convicted murderer of Travis Alexander but the side swiped pony tail she was wearing made her look very childlike distracting from the jailhouse attire perhaps. This was only elevated when she put on her glasses to round out the look.

Judge Stephens asked Jodi if she was going to submit a motion and still wanted to voluntarily represent herself, Jodi responded 'Yes,' but she wanted to discuss it further in an ex parte.

Judge Stephens then began to question Jodi on why she needed to ask her in private and Jodi stated she wanted to further discuss her representing herself and some evidence she’d like to present. Judge Stephens granted the ex parte and all of us including the State were cleared from the courtroom.

We were all let back in and Jodi Arias with her stripes and shackles made her way up to the podium to address Judge Stephens. Judge Stephens went down the list of what will be expected and what Jodi will face if she chooses to go forward. Judge Stephens warned her this is a complex death penalty case and that Jodi will be on her own.

Jodi said she understood.

Judge Stephens asked her if she had any law background, a criminal justice degree or any type of schooling on the subject, Jodi said “no.” Stephens then asked her if she was on medications, Jodi Arias said 'yes. The judge asked if these would prohibit her from acting as her own attorney, Jodi stated".

Sorry, Tapatalk won't let me edit but, the last word of my last post is "no".

I have blocked "HER HEINOUS" from my mind. Is it just the penalty phase LWOP or DP the jury has to decide? She was found Not to have mitigating factors correct? And found there were aggravating factors? My brain is bad.

The new jury must accept that she is guilty of 1st degree murder with aggravating circumstances, she can only defend herself from the death sentence and present mitigating factors to the jury. I'm very curious about what 'evidence' LE holds that she wants access to that has to do with her mitigation. I have a feeling the judge is going to have to warn her more than once that she is not defending/retrying her conviction, only the penalty related to it.

Agree 100 percent geevee.

This will be the killer's final performance. She is going down and she knows it.

Yea, Weebles is back!!! Weebles was so great at keeping us entertained.
