Coats are being shown. Police were looking for a black pea coat. Found one in the closet.

RaffertyLFP: Rafferty taking close look at shot of black pea coat; coat has been marked up at centre for forensic sciences

There are chalk marks on the jacket. They were drawn on by experts at the centre of forensic sciences.

Rafferty's jacket is in an evidence bag in the courtroom. Being shown to the jury by Carnegie.

The actual pea coat is being submitted as evidence; confirmed as same jacket by Scoyne, observing forensic markings. Coat shown to jury

Hopefully Tori's DNA, blood or hair evidence. :woohoo:

RaffertyLFP: Scoyne says the closet also contained an orange-handled hammer; was quite visible from foyer of home.

OMG

Police find a black pea coat in #Rafferty's home and sent if off the centre for forensic sciences #ToriStafford

RaffertyLFP: A hammer was also on a list of things investigators were looking for. Seeing close-up of Wavex hammer

Police also found a orange handled hammer in Rafferty's closet. Stood out to police. Investigators had a list of items to look for

What make of hammer was it that TLM purchased???

Hammer found in Rafferty's home is: Wavex hammer

nevermind:
Hammer recovered at Rafferty's residence much larger and heavier than the one OPP purchased at Guelph Home Depot on May 20, 2009.

The hammer in Rafferty's closet is much bigger than the one that matches the one McClintic purchased in Guelph. Also heavier.

IMHO I think the defense will wait until closer the end of the trial to see how damaging the Crown's case is against MR, as to whether he will take the stand. If he does, he is going to be subjected to the Crown's examination which may be the "tell all" and very damaging for MR. Therefore it's so hard to say how it's going to play out in that regard. :moo:

The defence already knows what the Crown's case is, they would have found out during the disclosure process and would have received copies of all the evidence that Crown has (even evidence that the Crown will not be using during the trial), none of what is taking place during the trial is a surprise to the defence.

RaffertyLFP: Scoyne now describing kitchen and dining area of Tennyson residence; there were four cats in the home.

It was a hammer of interest when first located, until the comparison was made.

Showing a shot of the kitchen. One of the four cats from the home is in the shot.

McC had told police #ToriStafford was covered w a black jacket when she was driven to Mt Forest

Police also found an orange handle hammer. Same brand but larger and heavier than the suspected murder weapon

Police were looking for black pea coat; found one in #Rafferty's closet. Crown alleges Tori was hidden under black coat in car #sl

Police put the coat on a mannequin to help with a forensic video analysis. Scoyne now shown coat in court #sl

Police found orange-handled hammer at bottom of #Rafferty's closet. Compared to one OPP bought from Home Depot: not same #sl

Police say there were 4 cats in #Rafferty's home #sl

Table in the front entrance has drawer of interest to the investigators; contents include a book, lanyard, Mastercard, memory card adapter

RaffertyLFP: Memory card and adapter particular interest to police; adapter allows memory card to be plugged into other devices for downloading.

OPP identification Const. Gary Scoyne is back on the stand to talk about search warrant on #Rafferty's home at 70 Tennyson St. in Woodstock

Showing an aerial shot of 70 Tennyson.

Showing the home from the road. OPP vehicles in the shot.

RaffertyLFP: There is a mini-van in the driveway; van is registered to Raffety's mother

Van in the drive way was registered to Rafferty's mother, Scoyne believes.

If not appropriate, please let me know and I will delete. This is MR's mother's home, note the police car in driveway....

Rafferty is not paying for his lawyer, the fees are covered by legal aid. And yes, he got to choose his lawyer.

In front table by entrance, police found a photo memory card and adapter. Card sent to OPP E-Crimes unit in Orillia #sl

Police opened a drawer. Had some cash, and a master card. Also a Sony adapter/disk. A camera memory card.

There were 4 cats at #Rafferty's house. Nice hardwood floors, candles and family photos. It's a sharp contrast to McClintic's residence

Card was sent to electronic crimes in Orillia, to process what was on it.

Memory card was sent to Orillia for processing; Scoyne says 512 MB memory card contained images of interest.

RaffertyLFP: Three pictures of McClintic (previously submitted as evidence) and 3 photos of Rafferty shown to court

Images of McClintic were on the camera. Taken at Super 8 motel. Taken March 26th, 09

Also photos of Rafferty on the card.

RaffertyLFP: A kitchen wine cabinet is also of interest to police; drawer contains a missing poster of Tori Stafford

Rafferty photos all taken at separate locations.

Looking through a desk drawer. Contains a missions persons photo with Tori's photo on it.

They don't know how it's going to be presented thought. IMHO this can make a huge difference.

So far, Rafferty's home is clean and very orderly. Stark contrast to McClintic's which was quite messy #sl
