That is not correct. Any decomposing tissue, from humans or animals, would produce it. It is also present in things such as urine or semen.

HRD dog are trained specifically to the scents / gasses of a decomposing HUMAN. A well trained dog is not going to pick up on urine, semen or dead animals. I am 100000% sure on this.

This is my first post here on WS and I appreciate all that you are doing here for the missing, especially children.
I try to put myself in Hailey's place, but that would have been over 30 years ago for me. When I was her age my Mother gave me a Raggedy Anne and Andy doll set for my birthday, which I thought was beneath me. I was in such a big hurry to grow up and unfortunately I did.
I don't know if Hailey was in a big rush to grow up in the way that I was, but it is possible. She seems to be by all accounts a responsible and smart little girl.
And she is just a little girl, but she may not see herself as one any more than I did at her age.
I don't believe she left on her own accord. I do believe someone totally unrelated to her daily life may have taken the opportunity to steal her from her loved ones.
Although statistics usually point to the family members in cases like this, it is still possible that none of them are involved. I really don't know how she would have looked at her Mother's boyfriend...whether with love or apprehension. If what her Grandmother(?) is reported to have said is true, then it would have been the latter.
If Hailey were to call her Mom's phone it would still be a major breakthrough. Since all available info indicates it is in possession of LE, they would have a good chance of locating her.
Praying for Hailey and everyone who is lost that they may be found.

Great post and Welcome...

I was hoping that a forum would cause the gossiping to disintegrate, as it would be off topic.

That didn't work with the Caylee or Kyron forums. ;) It only got worse! And then the Mods have multiple threads where people are off-topic, and I don't even know how they cope with that.

When SA says I would never do anything to that little girl. To me he is not saying that he didn't do anything to her. Would is future tense so of course he would not to anything to her because she is no longer there. KWIM MOO

Hailey is a teenager not "a little girl".

CZ billie's friend stated when the phone LE took is dialed, it goes directly to voice mail which indicates it's shut off. It is probably turned off or has a dead battery in an evidence box somewhere.

That just doesn't seem right. What if the kidnapper wanted to call her to ask for a ransom or something? What? They couldn't get through because the cops put the only phone in an evidence box?

I wish we had "just the confirmable facts" to look at. I think a lot of the info we've looked at is coming from BD (who we know to be unreliable), her "friend" (do we really KNOW who that is?), and some third party ppl. I read a few things here and there regarding the case and then you trace back the comments and find they came from BD--not necessarily LE>

Could phone calls be forwarded from her old cell phone to her new cell phone by asking Verizon to do that ?

I forward all my calls from a land lne to a cell phone while away from home but not sure about forwarding from cell to cell...

Even if LE has the phone for evidence...Im sure that they are interested in all the present calls ...most would be to help and ask if Billie needed anything....

Sounds harsh if LE wont let her forward her calls...

They don't need her SIM, so she could just plug that into another phone. Or maybe the phone company could just assign the phone number to a new SIM if LE had to keep the old one as evidence.

I refuse to start analyzing the wording used in this case...I have seen some of the most convoluted sentences ever from the media/LE spokesperson...:(

A bit later in the article Big Country says they have not been able to verify the info, much less the wording. Maybe the info from the NG producer needs a sprinkle of salt. ;)

That is kinda what i thought too, what if Hailey tried to call..
CZ said she herself tried to call BD's old number and that is w hat happened with the phone. I don't have any reason to not believe her.

My thought process was if it's true, maybe LE had good reason to think HD wasn't going to be calling the phone :(

I'm glad that MK has softened up a bit. He was very intimidating for awhile IMO, and said way too critical of things about some victims' parents and families on NG at times. IMO, he needs to be a support and help to families of the missing and not speculate on guilt, innocence, or how every little action they makes looks before even being charged or suspected of anything. If he's helping Billie and letting the law do their job, then he's doing his job.

I'm not sure about this. I have to preface this and say that I am not extremely familiar / a follower of MK.... II do know the story of his daughter and the basics of his foundation. AND I have noticed a difference in BD's actions and interviews.

HOWEVER, I wonder what happens (and I'm sure it has) when he goes out to help a family and it turns out they a guilty ? With his background I would think it would be very hard to walk away knowing that he helped the person who harmed their child? :(

(whoops .. after I posted I saw a mod post about "knock it off about BD and MK" ... not sure if we aren't to talk about him at all ... if this is inappropriate mods feel free to delete?)

Brad Dennis does most of the organizing, I believe. I don't know if they are working with LE on this case, but I know they have gone out without LE assistance in the Wix case.

I'll see if Tricia can come in and discuss as she's been in contact with the team.

Kimster, I don't know if this helps or not - I had remembered seeing Brad Dennis' name in conjunction with Hailey's case:

http://www.ktxs.com/news/26532721/detail.html

In a plea to local organizations Tuesday, KlaasKids Director of Search Operations Brad Dennis said he's here to find Hailey.

Dennis has been involved in search and rescue for 26 years.

He says his job is to come in, gather volunteers and train them how to effectively search for the missing teen, "to put some organization into this so that it is an effective way to monitor their (volunteer searchers) progress as well as provide feedback to law enforcement about that progress," Dennis said.

A narrow term, used in a search-and-rescue context, to indicate a canine primarily trained as a trailing or area search dog that has also received cross training in the location of dead human bodies.

I think the hits from the cadaver dogs they are finally confirming again are from a week ago at the Abilene dump that they confirmed today is evidence connected to HD and because of that evidence they brought in these special dogs from Huntsville and searched the Colorado City and Snyder landfills again today.

I just listened to that 911 call for the first time and I have to say that officer was VERY unprofessional! "She's been going on all day". Well, DANG! This is not a JOKE.

I know this is yesterday's news, but if one of our deputies acted like that I'd be writing letters to the sheriff! With all the violence against women these days, ANY calls like this need to be taken seriously, I don't care WHO is calling!

:furious:

There seems to be two prevailing theories about MK in this case.

1= He is lulling BD into a comfort zone so he can find out what he needs to help find Hailey. So he defends her and praises her publicly, but may not totally believe everything she says.

OR

2= He knows more than we do about the behind the scenes evidence and has reason to believe she is 100% innocent and because he was once in her position he is behind her fully.

I am not sure which one, if either, is correct.

Does LE usually give MK special insight into cases like this? Are they sharing confidential info with him?? I wouldn't think so, but I am not sure.

Just had a thought... I wonder if the kids came and went as they pleased... Thought it was possible that Hailey really did leave her house on her own accord and no one knew when or where and to save face, the story was created that she was going to a friend's house.

I don't understand why they haven't brought cadaver dogs to the home and the shed.

Google "cadaver dogs" and all I get are a lot of hits of a band by that name-takes a while to start finding links to real cadaver dogs...:(

Enter key search words with " on either end. Limits results.
