Adkins is the boyfriend of Haileys mother, Billie Dunn, and the only confirmed suspect in the girls disappearance. According to police, Adkins was the last person to see Hailey on December 27: the day she went missing.

Investigators mum on results of landfill search for Hailey Dunn
The search of the Abilene landfill last week may or may not have turned up evidence involved in the Hailey Dunn case, said Pete Kampfer, city manager in Colorado City and a spokesman for the task force investigating the teens disappearance.
You can say they may have found evidence, Kampfer said, adding that there has been no confirmation by task force officials about whether anything was found during the search of the Allied Waste Services landfill on Thursday and Friday.
About a dozen officers from the Abilene Police Department searched through piles of debris last week. Cadaver dogs, trained in locating human remains, were on the scene as well.

Local searchers say extra help finding Hailey is appreciated
Searchers tell KTXS that additional help from national organizations in the search to finding missing teenager Hailey Dunn is appreciated especially since each day it gets harder to find time to look for Hailey.
Shawnna McClinton and her children drove from Big Springs to the community of Dunn Tuesday to tie orange balloons on the bridge designated as a prayer site for Hailey.
"I can't explain it; my heart says go find her," McClinton said. "So that's what we're trying to do."

Two organizations aim to unify community search efforts for Hailey
The Laura Recovery Center and the Klaas Kids Foundation are joining the search for missing teenager Hailey Dunn. They aim to educate members of the community on how to search more efficiently.
Both organizations have assisted in hundreds of cases. The Laura Recovery Center helped in the Elizabeth Smart search. They say they're not trying to take over the efforts; they just want to use their years of experience to help.
"We're coming in at the request of the family just to kind of assist the community search," said Brad Dennis, Director of Search Operations for Klaas Kids.
