Transferred (9/7/22) from Montgomery County jail to Harris County jail. Denied bond (9/13/22) for murder. $500K bond on tampering charge & $50K on possession firearm (9/13/22). Bond denied (1/27/23 & 2/6/23).
Was originally arrested (4/19/21) for drug & weapons charges & was out on bond. Rearrested (6/9/21) for violating a bond-supervision court order on Friday for an unrelated drug & firearms charges in Montgomery County. 12/12/22 Upda5e: On the day his trial was set to begin, Ware Jr. pleaded guilty to drugs & weapons charges in Montgomery County, clearing the way for his murder trial. Jury selection was set to begin on Monday, but instead, Ware took a plea deal & was given a 15-year concurrent sentence for both charges. He will also get credit for 550 days of time served. The drugs & weapons charges stem from an incident that occurred in April 2021. Ware was pulled over for speeding -- allegedly going 115 mph. When a deputy searched his vehicle, a loaded AK-47, along with other guns & drugs like cocaine and meth, were allegedly discovered.

9/13/22 Update: Judge Tiffany Hill denied Ware’s bond on the murder charge for 60 days & a $50K bond was issued for the felon in possession of a firearm charge & a $500K bond was issued for the tampering with a corpse charge. Granted: State’s Motion to deny bail. Order: Motion to seal-granted. Court papers revealed new disturbing details about how Pomaski was killed. The documents say the former NFL player cut the woman with a knife (in the shower), hit her with a blunt object & then strangled her & burned her corpse (at his drug dealer’s home). Next status conference hearing on 12/13/22 @ 9am.
9/20/22: Motion-defendant appointment of investigator. 10/13/22: Appointed attorney Alexis Gilbert Bruegger. 12/12/22 Update: His trial for drugs & weapons charges was supposed to start on 12/12/22, but he took a plea deal. Status conference hearing for the murder has been reset to 2/8/23.
