Yes, he did, but he didn’t say why he felt that way. He also said he believed NK had nothing to do with the murders.

He did say that, and he also said he thought she was "mostly" forthcoming, and her deletion of all contacts with CW prevented LE from immediately verifying the electronic connection between them and that this slowed down the investigation.

I believe NK scrubbed all her electronics on the 14th, when she learned
SW was pregnant. She volunteered to sit for that interview for at least 2 1/2 hours, not sure how long, the tape was cut off, and she answered every question they asked her, then she went back and did more interviews. Whatever they asked. She also typed up for them everything she thought she had forgotten.
I think NK was trying to control the narrative. Her interview with the Denver Post was what she wanted everyone to beleive, but the transcripts of her interviews with LE, the audio we heard and the content of the text messages, photos and searches she conducted gave us the real truth.

I think you are right, by the 14th it was a missing persons case and LE was involved and she still scrubbed her electronics. Yes, she went in for the interviews and she answered every question they asked but many of those answers were lies proven by the discovery. If this had gone to trial she would have spent many, many more hours in that interview room trying to explain why she lied so they could present her as a credible witness. The defense would have had a field day with the deceptive interviews she did.

Who cares if she is embarrassed! Who cares if she is inconvenienced? Her boyfriend has just committed the most awful atrocity and she is hedging what she will tell them! If you don't want embarrassing details of your tawdry little life to be public, then choose a different path. This is NO time to be squeamish. She should be telling them truthful details of their life in the hope it might be helpful, not meting
out a sanitized version in case they see her for what she is.

EXACTLY

This isn't about her. It's about 4 missing human beings, 3 of which were small children

The affair was likely a motive for murder. Everything related to that affair, is important.

This isn’t about “shaming,” it is evidence involving a mass murder.

A murder investigation is more important than this woman’s reputation.

I don’t think any lines were crossed.

@MassGuy, what I mean is that perhaps NK did a factory reset because she was afraid that her private photos could end up in public domain?

(Still not good, but at least understandable).

And guess what? She had the right to be scared.

For example, her text to her friend CN.

First, that woman, CN, is not involved in a crime. Her bad luck that she is NK's friend, but why the heck her sexual interests are known to the whole world? She is not guilty.

Think how it might affect her future job, her kids, ten years from now.

She was the recipient of the message, why is her name everywhere?

So I understand that with such an intimate relationship as in CW and NK's case, the police has the right to suspect NK, OK, offer a polygraph test, and if she refuses, then you have a possible case. Maybe.

But if you don't...Well, NK is not the greatest person, but if she is not complicit except for sleeping with a married guy who belongs in Bedlam, her life is messed up already.

In posting it, I am not specially concerned about NK. I am concerned about the abillity of our public to cooperate with the police and FBI, if they are not sure if their privacy will be protected. Think of it.

She did. She had a brain freeze, a momentary memory lapse. She went over it again in her head and then she said, “Oh yeah, we went to the museum.”
How could you possibly know this?

Only she could know what was going on in her head.

And she was clearly reluctant to give the name of her alibi witness, the mysterious Jim.

One part of his interrogation, where I actually believed him, was when he whined ' I want them back, I just want them to come back, all of them'

I do think he was feeling that way in the interrogation room. Like WTF did I do, this is not working out the way I had imagined...
Maybe. But probably because he knew he had ruined his chances with Nickol. He was so worried when she found out Shanann was pregnant, repeatingly asking if they would still be okay. Yet he didn't think that finding out he murdered his family might be a turn off? Maybe that's what finally dawned on him during the interrogation.

It's not even that they released that one pic (and I'm not sure what else is in these latest releases). I'm more bothered by this line from the initial document drop seemed so so unnecessary and weird to me "This progressed to searches at "Pornhub" for interracialporn videos and "threesomes with double penetration." [43 - web History: 2942] This was by no means the only time she souqht out pornogrophic videos via the internet" Literally wtf does that have to do with anything to do with murder. Sounds like she likes *advertiser censored*. Ok. Sorry to be crude but she wasn't searching "hot dilf annihilates family" or something.

And I'm not sure the causes of the release, but I did see some people in some places (not necessarily here) commend this as investigators chance to see she didn't get off entirely without some sort of "punishment."

The museum trip was with her dad who helped her remember - which I understand not being able to recall everything immediately. She repeatedly said she did not want to give Jim’s last name
“Leavveee Jimmm oooutt of thiiiss”.

She scrubbed her phone after seeing news reports of a missing family. I’m still trying to find her first contact with any LE and if it was her reaching out or responding. I think I know the answer. Her first interview wasn’t until 8/15, am I right? If anyone I knew had missing family members, I’d be at the police station with my phone, a key to my house and contact info for every person I know IMMEDIATELY. It seems to me that her interview was negotiated. If there is any evidence contrary to that, I’d love to see it and change my mind.

Was LE able to recover *everything* from NK's phone? It doesn't seem like they had many text interactions or we would have seen more of them.

In the Discovery report, it said: "l'm certain Watts communicated far more with Kessinger than is reflected in his phone data, perhaps facilitated through the Secret Calculator application. It became apparent he was receiving assorted nude images of Kessinger that she was taking by herself and sending to watts, which he then stashed in that application to prevent Shanann from ever seeing them."

It sounds like the majority of interaction LE was able to see or read between them came from what CW had transferred to the Secret Calculator app.

There were several more interviews in the days following that we haven’t heard yet. I’d like to hear those, too. A lot happened. How much can she say in one sitting?
