How long does it take forensics to garner needed information on these devices/vehicles?

And frankly I agree with the lawyer who said that the brazen refusal to return possessions as if the cops have carte blanche to trample on 4th Amendment rights is pretty disgusting. I had a cop in NH once take my phone and not return it and I hadn't done anything wrong.
Fulos is the prime suspect in a murder and those vehicles are evidence. He probably should have thought of all that before he killed his wife. JMO

Actually, with the advent of DNA evidence no body/no crime often does not work. Look up the statistics.

Having evidence of extensive blood loss is a lot like having a body.

Jennifer didn't spill her blood on that garage floor, wipe it up with those sponges, send her estranged husband off to dispose of them, leave her car at the park and then ride off into the sunset on wings.
Exactly. If there wasn’t a trace of her, then I could see doubt. But her blood, his DNA, the video of dumping and hiding evidence, PLUS the acrimonious divorce/child custody reports and JD’s own words on record to the court.
I don’t know for sure, but at this point of decomposition, I don’t know how much DNA or other evidence would even be available to use. Her blood, IMO is all I would need to convict him.

We’ll also tell you about these two motions filed by #FotisDulos’s defense attorney. A motion to preserve evidence & a motion to return seized property, including some cars, electronics and personal papers

I am feeling really sad that this beautiful mother of 5 children hasn’t been found yet. What an insult to the woman with whom he had these children! How could JD have fallen into his trap? I still cannot believe that an intelligent, good looking lady was taken in by this horrible piece of filth. He not only killed her, but made sure she couldn’t be found and treated respectfully in her death. I know it’s happened so many times before (as members of Websleuths, we know this), but I am always shocked that this happens to people. Sorry-venting...
I am with you on this.<modsnipped> I am surprised her parents let her marry him. Especially because he was a bit of a mistery. Fresh off the boat from Greece, and not much family in the US to speak of. Plus, he was broke. JD's family were multi-millionaires who founded Liz Clairborne.

I think if they found her, they could figure out how to connect his movements that day to the location, further implicating him, along with the bloody-bag evidence, etc.

It depends. The last thing law enforcement wants to do, is return these things before they are sure they are done processing them.

Once they are returned, most items lose future potential evidentiary value.

You only get one shot, and you’d damn better make sure that you do it right.
Besides, how much fun it must be to get under a criminal's skin!

I am with you on this. His accent alone is a big turn-off. He sounds like a dirty, slimeball that he is. I am surprised her parents let her marry him. Especially because he was a bit of a mistery. I'm not sure we can assume that Fulos' family is not wealthy. Do you think he had the smarts to accumulate scholarships to pay for the hefty tuition fees at Brown and Columbia? An ivy league school like that would cost upwards of $50k per year. imo

Fotis Dulos is at his property in #NewCanaan, seen sweeping and cleaning while wearing his ankle bracelet. This is the house where neighbors say they heard “loud banging noises” the morning #JenniferDulos disappeared
If he is so concerned with getting his vehicles back to continue his construction work, why is he at home sweeping? Couldn't he just catch a ride with an employee and continue work? Seems to me like he is focused on being seen "acting normal" while the case is being investigated. Kinda suspicious, but that's JMO.

Have we learned what tipped LE off to check the videos of the Albany St. trash throws?

Did someone report this? Was LE following them? What's the
scenario here?

I wish they had been following them at that time-they would have collected all of the stuff which was thrown away along that route, instead of the 2-5 bags that it looks like they managed to rescue before it went to the dump.

At FDs court appearance, NP said they could account for FDs whereabouts most of the day on the 24th and that he had an early morning meeting with an attorney at his home that day.(NP also mentioned a phone call to Greece). Not to trust anything NP says, but this was said on the record in court. I have not heard it mentioned since.

How early would that meeting had to have been, given the short time frame for JD to leave for her appointments in NYC? 7 or 7:30 am? Was it just incredible bad luck that FD arrived just as JD was getting into her car to leave to NY? Thus the encounter in the garage?

If the early morning meeting did happen, it could be that FD realized he was cornered, no way out (note that one of his “divorce attorneys” named in the media, MR, is a specialist in employment law, not divorce and custody, as JDs motion for contempt dealt with FD hiding his business assets, so maybe FD realized at that meeting he had no way out). And this drove him into a rage and he immediately went down to take her out.

I have not heard NP mention anything more about the early morning attorney meeting since then, so maybe it was just NP blowing smoke, but he said it in court on the record. MR is also one of the attorneys who has asked to be dismissed from representing FD, so perhaps if there was such a meeting that morning, something FD said makes MR, in retrospect, need to withdraw (“for good cause”). Assuming it was MR he met with, he had other attorneys as well.

All MOO, more hypotheses, but I’ve been wondering about the morning meeting.

I'm not sure how he paid for his schooling but if he was wealthy why did he mooch off his FIL for years? His business troubles began after his FIL passed away. I worked for a wealth mgmt firm that employed mostly foreigners who got here on a student visa. There were a few who were wealthy but most came from humble backgrounds. He comes from Greece, and I know Europe as well as other countries outside of the US are far more advanced academically than the US, especially in Math. So it could be that he got here on a scholarship.

She met him when they were both at university. They married at 35 or so, a month after divorce from his first wife was finalized. The same year he founded his company. By the time they got together he wasn't "fresh from the boat" any more. I don't believe accents speak of people's character.

I don't know anything about the death of JD's dad. But knowing that there are questions concerning the death of Fotis' mother being hit by a car driven by the young Greek nanny, LE needs to reopen the death of JD's dad.
I’m several pages behind. But there was a professional photographer who blogged about one of the kids birthday parties (she was hired to take photos). Photos showed JD’s father with what appeared to be a port in his hand. So it’s my opinion he was sick (naturally) and was at times receiving meds thru the port. I don’t think there was anything suspicious about his death. I cannot link to the photos because they violate TOS rules and they have been taken down by the photographer.

From the link:

"Now Dulos wants his Raptor pick up truck back.

In the second discovery motion, his defense teams are asking for the Raptor, a Chevrolet Suburban, a Cherokee to be returned so he can get back to operating his construction business.

The defense also asked the state to return a MacBook Pro laptop, his server, other computers, 2 iPhones, hard drives and personal papers.

The defense says in that filing that the items are needed for both practical reasons and in order to mount his defense."

Does he want the trash bags back, as well.

I never understood making fun of someone's accent. Having an accent means you speak more than one language.

Plenty of things to dislike about this guy, but his accent?

jmo

Right-my contempt for him has nothing whatsoever to do with him being from another country; it’s all about what he brought to the equation, which for me, is zero.
