Waters has shown how much smarter he is than AM.
He allowed AM to ramble, making it clear, this is his way, of manipulating situations: often ''off topic', explaining relatable events.
Therefore, I hope Waters will use AM's ramblings, with further witnesses, and in closing.
AM's tactics have aided in his 'down fall'.
I certainly hope so.
I keep wondering if his family thinks he is innocent. how could you ever have him in your house if you know he killed close family...and you are family.
If you are a relative, how can you have family killer near you????

I'm sorry but there is absolutely no evidence that this places was used or even considered by anyone involved in this case. It's pure speculation and should be removed. Even if they were they would not be able to disclose this by law.
In fact, AM went to Florida for his detox. That was stated in court and is in the record.
He also went to Atlanta.

That's not true. LE was never asked to provide a search warrant and they were openly invited to come into the house and look around. AM's brother followed the LE officers around the house as they searched.
<modsnip>It is true that that LE got a search warrant the night of the murders that covered the whole property. I posted a link to testimony about that several threads ago. They did not cordon it off -- they allowed Blanca to CLEAN and pick up items -- wet towels, Alex's khakis etc the next day! They allowed family and law partners to mill about the next day! The search inside the home was lame. They should have effectuated the warrant and kicked everyone out. Policing 101.

ETA: Testimony that the search warrant covered all of Moselle. Starting at 1:20:50.

I don't know, I watched the cross, and felt like AM appeared sympathetic, like a complete loser, which he is, but also a pathetic victim. He didn't come off as a killer. I actually thought AM did better on the second day, because the first day was a bit like he was Colonel Kentucky Fried Chicken (who was also fake BTW).

Interesting that none of the officers or detectives who were at the murder scene, went into the house. Did they need a search warrant? Why didn't they get one?

Because on the cross examination of Blanca, she indicated that she came to work, and cleaned the bathroom, where AM, it appears, took a shower, changed clothes the previous night. The police never checked out the house?!

It's strange for a couple of reasons. AM definitely gave consent and I do recall that search warrants were obtained by a female agent that arrived at Moselle later. Her delay in arriving at the scene to secure search warrants is heard in the live background audio of the bodycams. MOO

ETA: add testimony from Det Rutland

Det. Rutland was at home in Ridgeland (~45 mins from Walterboro) when call came in for 4147 Moselle Rd homicide. Stopped in Walterboro to secure a search warrant. Once she arrived at the scene, SLED and Colleton deputies were already on scene. "I was basically the last one there."

[..]

Rutland asked about her testimony of no impressions, shoe prints, etc in blood around Paul. Asked if she did personal analysis or testing. She says no, observed with her eyes. Griffin notes how she hadn't gotten there until 12:22 a.m. Other law enforcement had already been there. Sheet was already over Paul's body.

Has AM ever been hospitalized for overdose? Seems to me that someone who took the number of pills that AM claims would have ended up in the emergency room, maybe more than once. AM claims to have taken an exorbitant number of opiates, yet never passed out or had to be rushed to the hospital for an overdose? Friends and colleagues never noticed that AM's demeanor was peculiar when he had so many pills in his system? Horse hash! JMO
Let's hope Waters brings in a Medical Opiod Specialist, to give details on such doses.
Perhaps again, we'll find AM lies under oath.

I have to disagree slightly with AM being a racist. IMO, to him it didn't matter what your race, color, height, gender, eye color, hair color, etc. was. He would and did steal from anyone he could whenever he could and he would and did blame anyone that fit into the lie he was telling at the time. Anyone and everyone was fair game in his game of 'Exploitation for Alex'.
moo

But you don't actually know that. I need the reflections and input of those with whom he actually interacted. I don't see that yet - but I do get what you are saying.
I’m a physician. Opioids do not affect your kidney function, which is what creatinine levels reflect. So no it being normal doesn’t mean anything

Thank you. As a person who teaches human biology, I thought the same - but a physician's view on bloodwork is far more important to the analysis.

IMO.

And I swear there was something in his mouth, and he started doing that weird movement of his mouth and jaw just before each crying spell. What the heck did he have going on in his mouth? It’s so gross. (I’m not referring to the constant tic-tacs or whatever as he sits at the defense table. I’m referring to his grotesque facial/mouth movements when he testified).

Seriously, was he biting down on something sharp that he had tucked inside his mouth? Eww, he’s so disgusting.
Certain anti-psychotic drugs have that effect.

Super interesting video. The jury is over Alex and the state DOES have evidence that he is not a family man, but they have not used it yet. I'm not all the way thru it but it's well worth watching even though it's an hour long. I'm watching it at 1.75 speed.

Fantastic video … thank you for sharing … of course I would love to know what evidence the prosecution has that AM is not a family man! ;)

ETA: since they brought up the subject of a family annihalator I googled the characteristics of one … definitely fits AM!

On June 23, 2020, Murdaugh III created a will that gave all of his estate to a trust under his name. The Randolph Murdaugh III Trust is listed as the only beneficiary of his estate.

The Murdaugh family patriarch’s wife and four children are named as heirs in the will but not direct beneficiaries, according to the records.

It’s unclear how Murdaugh III’s trust, which is not a public record, will be distributed.

Was he putting money in the Murdaugh trust?
IIRC, the children all inherited $4million each, including AM. This money is in an untouchable trust.

Yes.....this what he want's you to believe and it looks like he's having some success.

When I heard CW ask AM if he was a family annihilator, my jaw hit the floor. I am aware of the definition, but to hear CW just come out and ask AM if he (AM) was one....... just wow........

IMO, that is hard core. Not, "are you a narcissist?" "Are you sociopathic?" Straight out, "Are you a family annihilator?"

And, AM knew what it meant....

JMO... moo
