Germany Germany - Inga Gehricke, 5, Stendal, Sachsen-Anhalt, 2 May 2015

I'm sure they searched due to ig, but then after that he came on the radar for mm, I'm thinking out loud here, wasn't it due to a mobile phone being found, amongst many other things ?
A mobile phone,being found?
What other things?
Sorry,it seems,I didn’t catch up.
I really need to do! ;) NOW

Thank you all, for the info and links.:)
Lets hope, Inga will be found!

The police spokesman: "Our officers questioned everyone who was in the property: the residents, the staff, the visitors." More than 120 people.”

IMO: LE says they questioned more than 120 people, and that is a lot, but if I were just looking for the abductor in those files, I'd first look at males who were there with their own vehicle, and who might have driven somewhere for at least some time unnoticed. I wonder how many people then that would be?

Good luck with CB's 33 threads!

8000 pieces of potential evidence, USB's containing child SA, a sim card, autobiogs allegedly documenting his life and crimes, all buried under a dead dog in a carrier bag containing kindling which had had set alight at some stage IIRC.

This is definitely, a step in the right direction:

International Cold Case Analysis Project (ICCAP):

The ICCAP is a ground breaking project co-founded by Locate International, Amber Alert Europe, Police Expert Network Missing Persons (PEN-MP), Police Academy Lower Saxony and UK and Australian Universities. This involves teams from universities in the UK, Germany, North Macedonia, Australia, and trainee police officers from the Police Academy at Lower Saxony and the German Federal Criminal Police Office Wiesbaden, both in Germany and the French Gendarmerie. These teams come together over a four-month period to review a number of unsolved murders, unidentified remains or missing people cases, culminating in a presentation of their findings to the German Public Prosecutor and representative from police forces across Europe. The ICCAP has gained support from the Council of Europe and PEN-MP .

That's great news indeed. Inga isn't included at this time, but I hope will be in time (they're 8 even though graphic here posted by @worldwatcher contains 10 missing person cases).

Missing - Locate International
That’s very interesting, more like thinking “outside the box”

It wouldn’t be a bad idea,if Inga’s case, and other missing children would be reviewed.

Recently released on Paramount Plus is extended version of MWT’s documentary about MM/CB .
In episode 2 there is a section about IG , including an interview with Inga’s father .
Upsetting to watch , IG’s father also gives some details of events on the day … I’m not completely up to date with IG case .. but might be of interest to those who know it in depth .

Tbh, I wonder, for many days now,if Inga was the target and maybe, our focus is wrong ,about what Inga was doing, during the day.
The way,I read, she was in company with older siblings and the other children of the 3 family’s .

It seemed to be a random kidnap,it could be that a perp watched those,9 kids and Inga was walking there,in one moment (just a view minutes) “unsupervised, out of sight”. So idd,the perp knew that area, path, aware that this was the waiting chance. The thrill must have been satisfying, sort to speak of..

(some) perps target different ages.

"Magdeburg - Saxony-Anhalt's Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang (CDU) announced on Thursday (April 13) in the state parliament's Interior Committee that the investigation would be transferred to Halle. There, criminalists should look at the more than 2,200 traces in 177 Leitz folders "with an unbiased view" and find new approaches. For this purpose, the specialist commissariat there will be “staffed up”. So far, the investigations have been conducted by the Stendal police. There were a number of inconsistencies."

  • It was a disappointing day for the mother of the missing Inga, Victoria Gehricke: "Some of the MPs seem to be not that interested in what happened to my child and what could have gone wrong in the investigation, she said after the committee. "I'm taking my disappointment home with me."

Lawyer Tzschoppe is very critical about investigation and gives some interesting clues here:

Original text in German

Google translation
Is this about Martin H?
(Berlin: Sex-Puppe aus Wohnung sah aus wie vermisste Inga!)

From your link:

”Of particular interest to Steffen Tzschoppe: a lead to a convicted sex offender who is said to have known the location through an ex-girlfriend who lived near the scene of the crime. The lawyer noticed massive structural changes on the offender's property. Huge amounts of building materials are still available on the site, and an excavator was operated there for 35 hours a few days after Ingas disappeared.
Suggestions by the Berlin public prosecutor's office to include friends of this person in the file for investigation purposes were rejected. "Therefore, important data such as telephone data, vehicles, connections to Wilhelmshof are missing for this person," says Tzschoppe. All of this, although the offender is said to have said to a witness during the escape from the police in Berlin for another crime that he would probably be wanted because of Inga.”

What a mess! It should have been probably investigated, right from the start!
Poor family.
I.do hope lessons are being learned to prevent this, from happening again.
Poor little girl.

"A lead that leads to a convicted sex offender is particularly interesting for Tzschoppe. He knew the town where Inga had disappeared well. In addition, the lawyer found massive structural changes on the man's property with vast amounts of building materials.
Explosive: A few days after Inga's disappearance, an excavator was operated there for 35 hours, as reported by the MDR. But important information about the man is missing."

BBM from Verschwundene Inga: Neue Bewegung im rätselhaften Vermisstenfall

35 hours?? Imagine that!!
There is not much on Martin H.
Only that he payed the asking price for the old farm, and from my memory collection,: he was unemployed, or something??!

Today,it's 8 years ago that Inga disappeared, leaving her family with no answers and many struggles to resolve the case, what happened with her...

I know,it's very hard for WS members to follow the case of Inga's disapearence, due to language difficulties.

But nevertheless,I want to post a Podcast (MSM) and did send a request through mail for English translation.

This is a podcast's summary with help of some German-speaking friends:

- Barbecue was unplanned and family simply decided to stay longer because of good weather and not that somebody persuaded them to.

- One of last Inga's sighting was her playing in the tin horse. Her siblings independently said she looked too quit, perhaps sedated, they speculated.

- Family mothers went to kitchen around 6pm.

- Inga's father went to kitchen and asked mother if he should offer Inga a coat. Inga's mother asked for Inga and host's family daughter looked for her (not explicit at what time this happened).

- Inga took part in a football game and left sometimes when bored and played with flowers. That was an open football game, where people might enter and leave at any time.

- Earlier in the day Inga run to forest and her mother lost sight of her. Later, mother searched in pool and then in forest, perhaps because of this.

- Host family was unconcerned at first for Inga as nothing might happen her in DW.

- Some adult said Inga was last seen near a house, but only disclosed that information after searches and thus didn't change forest's searching.

- Search dogs alerted in a place outside DW, which is unknown to public (was this solar park?).

This is not a very complete summary as podcast is long, but it has some new info.

Thanks for taking the time to do this

Thanks Mendel, I just want add that CB and his WH connection is also discussed in the podcast:
"It is/could not proven, that CB had contact with an employee from Wilhelmshof, before Inga's disappearance.
It was later, that it came to light the contact between WH employee & CB."

I checked the year, it is mentioned in this article:
"During a prison stay in early 2019, years after Inga's disappearance, Christian B. wrote a letter to an association for which the conspicuous *employee was working in the meantime."
Fall Maddie: Ermittler prüfen Zusammenhang zu weiterem Vermisstenfall

*behaves oddly and is said to suffer from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.(also a translated quote, about that WH employee from above linked article)

Also late in the morning / early noon - Inga was seen playing at the playground.

"On Saturday, when Inga disappeared, she saw the girl on the playground. She played so beautifully. The little one with the blond hair and the wide gap between her teeth. She was so happy. So striking. "Like an elf," says the woman. Something special.

Am Vormittag war das/it translates as "That was in the morning"
But it's more
*Time from morning to noon*

(I do believe, Inga's family arrived around that time at WH, my children also run to the first playground in sight, during arrival - at that age)

So, I guess the football game was, around mid noon?
