I'm watching the rest of this morning's cross. It drives me crazy when Laviolette states what she believes occurred, as if she was there.

Gosh I wish JM would have asked her, for example, "Ma'am, you state that whether or not it was via computer or via photos, Travis was viewing pornographic photos of little boys. Were you there?"

Does he think that the jury won't make the connection and throw out the whole silly spidy undies story? If the answer is yes to either of these, he's a bigger fool than I thought he was.

I haven't had a chance to do more than spot check the afternoon session. Still have a few things to do before I get involved. Sad to see JW again. My only hope is that tomorrow, my only day off this week, I get to at least see the jury questions. Just one.

How is it that when JW asks her to think hypothetically she simply replies..Ok..and then calmly listens and agrees. When JM asked her to her responses were consistently..."so you want me to think hypothetically about something I have no proof of?" (or something to that effect) EVERY single time!

NG just said the Defense is re-calling the witness who testified to authenticating the May 10 recording.

They just said that JA allegedly submitted seven recordings to the Court.

Are we going to hear more of Travis's voice?

OMG I remember hearing there was more then ONE tape. Good Lord what the hell are they going to do next? So help me GOD if another sex tape is allowed in and has anything to do with ALV's testimony I'm going to EXPLODE!:banghead:

You know, putting aside all the angst I feel for the defence's awful expert witnesses, Wilmott and Nurmi would have been much better off to get them both over and done with, in two days respectively. 'State your findings, and how you came by them.'

All I can remember of Samuels now is that he:

1. talked about a shrinking hippopotamus;
2. diagnosed 'fog';
3. cheated on test sheets; and
4. had a crush on Arias

LaViolette has left me with the memory of;

1. a man-hating control freak;
2. incredibly rude and obnoxious to both the prosecutor and the judge;
3. a disgrace to the Domestic Violence movement; and
4. had a crush on Arias

I think he's just going to authenticate the shooting range video. That's what they want to leave the jury with. Him firing that gun.

Problem: My husband and I LOVE that video! It totally has the same effect as the sex tape. It humanizes Travis Alexander. Now, they won't just have heard his voice. They will have seen him alive. :twocents:

Does a good attorney have to take as much time re crossing witnesses. Took wilmott days to cross ALV and again days to recross/ rehab. This witness. Doesn't this cause her to look insecure! Like she doesn't have to try to pound these opinions on the jurors. If I was on the jury I'd be highly annoyed with her actions.

She is the worst "attorney" I have ever seen. MOO - I am convinced that they made a back door deal with ALV that they will, repeat, keep her on the stand as long as possible, and stall, so that she ALV can cash in. For her pro JA expert assessment. It's just obvious at this point, imho.

She will never admit she could be wrong about ANYTHING! Jodi is in a league of her own when it comes to lying. She's hoodwinked a lot of people in her life and ALV is just another one. Once people figure out what she really is her lying doesn't work anymore.

I think she got on the stand and didn't expect to be challenged on her theories so well and so intensely. She may have come to the realization that she fell for Jodi's lies and is too embarrassed to admit she was wrong.

I believe that if a woman meets her and says she's abused she immediately believes them. JMO

I guess I would have thought that, once she had a clue that she had been duped, she would wise up and be willing to consider that JA was the abuser. Her firm hold on defending JA really shocks me. I had expected her to be willing to consider additional information. I think that will be her downfall. Just amazes me.... I think it would have saved her career to be willing to honestly evaluate all information.

ALV has such a terrible double standard.:furious:

She chides Travis because he didn't report JA or get a RO yet she runs on about victims and how they are afraid to report stalking and abuse for many reasons.

So JA has an excuse for not reporting and she gives Travis none when he is actually the one being abused.

I totally dislike ALV more than any other witnesses besides JA and she could be a clone of the defendant. She offends me greatly.

Oh she is. She wants the dynamic to be like that in her "groups." Thing is, this is a trial, and she is a witness, not the leader of a group anger management session. She can't/won't grasp that.

Someone in another forum made mention (very sorry I do not remember who and could not post yesterday) that when Jodi was young her dad looked a little like Travis. I immediately said Pish Posh to myself. No way could that be possible.... Until I got to see a photo of her father from back then.

:truce: I kinda think he does. Look at his face. Remember Travis in his black tank top too? He has much of the same body and definitely in this photo, the face. It surprised me.

Thought it would be interesting to post here and see what you all feel.
And the very open minded person who caught it, please speak up and take credit if you wish.


ETA: Just want to make a note that I have NOTHING against the father. I think he looks very nice in this photo. He is an innocent person in this and I don't mean this in a bad way. This is about Jodi and Travis.

I agree. IMO her journals were definitely written to be read by others. They are so completely self-serving. There isn't anything like "dang I just scarfed a gallon of ice cream and now I wanna puke" or "I gained 5 pounds and I have a huge zit" or "maybe Travis is right and I really am a sociopath. Maybe I should get help."

They certainly were written as fiction for others to read. When I read my journal what I wrote broke my heart. I didn't remember a feeling I wrote about until I read it. I wrote all about how I was so unwanted in my home (this was as a teen) and that all I was to my mother and her boyfriend was a hassle and something that costs them money. I've learned through counseling that sometimes it's okay to feel bad for that child, even when it was you, and reading this entry really made me feel bad for myself that I had to experience that. Jodi's journals don't speak of any honesty that I expect to see in a journal.
