witness subpoenaed for both documents and testimony. Walmart would identify the specific person they would send to render that testimony and produce the documents. I'm in house at a bank and we frequenlty are requested to produce records and/or testify. We have document custodians who testify when required. It depends on the jurisdiction whether and what expenses are compensated. In some states we can't charge for document production at all and may only get a minimal witness fee. The feds let us charge a certain amount per page.
What constitutes an expert witness opposed to just an expert? I was wondering if the Walmart specialist gets paid for her testimony. Does anyone know?
