Do y'all have rotaries? It's just a big arse circle, around which are exits. Could be 3 exits or 8. Some rotaries are very tight and you can barely get your car around it.

I was approaching a rotary on the way home from work. During rush hour. In BOSTON. Where everyone seems to drive with their damned eyes closed.

The road I was on approaching the rotary is two lanes. I was in the wrong lane and neeeeeeeeded to get into the left lane but not one of the friendly Boston peeps one would let me in and I was too grumpy to charm them so I plotted.

Cars were taking too long to merge. Dang, GO already. No one in the rotary will ever slow down to let you go.

Ugh. Waiting, waiting, waiting. I was not going to sit all night waiting for one of the 20 cars going around the rotary to give me permission, I pulled into the rotary and over to the left lane.

Then all I saw were flashing blue lights in my rear view.

Why is this cop at a rotary??? Aren't there criminals to go catch?

Even looking at a ticket, I was in no mood to be charming so I did not say a word. Just gimme the ticket already and let me be on my way. I'll appeal it. Whatever.

He told me that I cut off multiple cars in the rotary and ... by the way, did I know one of my brake lights was out. He went on and on and on about the brake light.

I just handed over my license and registration. I had nothing to say.

He came back a few minutes later with a warning for the brake light. Tells me the rotary cut off would have been a $150 fine but he was letting me go on that one. Then he gave me another lecture on the brake lights.

What I took from this? It's ok to cut off everyone in sight, just make sure all of your brake lights are in working order.

Then .. "all I ask is that you're careful in the rotary next time."

"Ok," I said, lying like JA. "I will."

lol

Hi Everybody! So, today was a real nail bitter, huh? I couldn't believe my eyes when I popped in to check the status. I had to close it and continued working. I feel better now that I've caught up. But, sheesh.

Something curious, JA never has a wrinkle on her forehead, how is that possible?

Not a worry in her head. Never. Is she human?

When I think my forehead creases, even when I was a teen. She is like a robot.

OMG...."Click-Clacks" as they were called in the East. They lasted about 1 year in the market until they started breaking and thowing shrapnel in people's eyes. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I loved those and we had to sneak them into school to play with them at lunch. They were dangerous as all heck and many a busted knuckle, but oh what fun!

How did we survive our childhood. :floorlaugh:

I have no clue....we didn't even have seatbelts. Dad had a long right arm though

I wouldn't be surprised if the jury was so fed up with her delaying during the mitigation phase, that they are taking their time and letting her sweat it out.

LOL Klackers. The object was to hold he metal ring, and moving your hand up and down (I'm not making this up), swing the balls so that they would klak up, then down, continuously.

The actual result was often facial injury, scalp lacerations, broken teeth, and occasionally, exploding klacker balls requiring trips to the ER. This is why they were banned in my JHS. Oh, that and the fact that Bruce Lee was really big at the time, so using them as Nunchaku was particularly popular.

I'm dying! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I don't understand why those who want to talk about the case have to hang out here. I don't want to talk music and such , just the case, right now. Call me perplexed.

And the insider thread is closed as well. :(

The great thing about that dangerous toy was that it actually took a heck of a lot of skill and broken knuckles before you could master it. I almost gave up until one day, it just "clicked" (or rather "clacked"--LMAO) and I got the hang of it.

A group of us would hang out at lunch and get them going and I swear the racket we made sounded like a swarm of locusts on steroids. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

She's cocky as all get out. Seems like it's her way or no way.

Somewhat obscure, but granted!

I missed you on our last walkabout through Blorenge.

how can arpaio stop more interviews?

Isn't he the boss there? Pink, tents, bread & water? Can't he require media visitors who want to speak to an inmate follow the same rules as all other visitors? Restricted hours, plexiglass, stripes, chains?

FWIW - I was on 3 juries. It always got hard (and ugly). Ultimately, the hold-outs (in the minority) always caved into the majority vote. My husband thinks that's the way it should be - we are a democracy and the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...(Star Trek!)

I'm 39 and have no wrinkles in my forehead, either. The thing that worries me is her feet. Those are some funky-looking feets.

Probably because there are too many threads to watch right now and people are hot...does not mean anything bad happened necessarily but it is easier to watch one thread rather than many.

A little late for this, but I'll take it. I'm so beyond over wanting this ***** to go away. Never has so much attention been wasted on such utter mobile sewage.

Prayers and strength for the Alexander family....what they've been through and are still going through defies comprehension.

I don't get it at all. Nobody wanted the child killing liar in Florida to do any interviews. IMO same sh** different pile, wouldn't waste my cable payment money on either one of them.
