I'm so humiliated to say that he (TM) received another continuance for July 17th.
I just don't understand why my community is so dysfunctional that crap like this happens all the time!
I want to stand on a street corner and scream at the top of my lungs but I know I'll be arrested and I'll probably get life behind bars!

I was looking around this morning for any updates...sadly there were none. But there was a nice site giving a good summary of Carrie’s story with all the links to the MSMs under Iowa Cold Case. Found it just by Googling her name.
Did not know if I could post a link as it wasn’t officially a news site.

She was found in Dakota County, Minnesota. Not far off from a straight route to the Minneapolis airport.

This report is confusing. It speaks of a search warrant, but when was it gotten and for where? :banghead:

On Thursday, a representative of the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, who declined to give her full name, said "an autopsy report has not been finalized." She also said her department is not allowed to release a preliminary cause of death.

Up to now, the cause of death has been categorized "undetermined."

Personal items that police believe were with Olson when she disappeared also were listed in the search warrant. They include a black coat with a hood, a gray Iowa Hawkeyes hooded sweatshirt, a silver Apple laptop computer, a small ladies billfold with the word "love" in white letters on it, a small black purse with a short strap, a white iPhone with a black case and Olson's debit and credit cards.

Have any of the items they were looking for been found? I know the car was found, but don't remember what was found with it.

Still no cause of death listed.

One guy says he is dropped her off at her home around 6:30AM, but boyfriend living at the home said NO!

According to the search warrant:

Missing with Olson was her gray 2005 Toyota Avalon with Iowa plates.
Police later located her vehicle in McVay's possession.
Olson was seen at 7:44 p.m. on Dec. 28 at the Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque. This was observed on video.
Smith said police interviewed McVay in January.

McVay told police he dropped Olson off at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 29, the search warrant states. He said he left with her car after she gave him permission to drive it. She was seen pumping gas at a Rock Island gas station later on Dec. 29, according to previously published information.

They never found her phone, laptop, or wallet. In fact, I believe ther is still a reward out for these items.

Alot of information from that article is new to me! I didn't know she had a live in BF who claims that she did not come home at all on the morning of the 29th. I also did not know that she was at a casino the day before and was caught on video there! Who was she with?? I mean I understand keeping things from the public for certain reasons, but why wouldn't have this came out earlier while it would have been fresh in anyone's head that might have seen her?

Totally busted right there IMO. He said he dropped her off at 630 am and had her car, but she is seen later that day with her car getting gas?

And a search warrent WHERE? I am getting so tired of the lack of quality regarding solid details that should be common sense in these journalists! It's not only for this case, but so many others. Is it laziness or stupidity?

I'm starting to think that Davenport has not and probably will not communicate with IL regarding Carrie.

Considering the lack of optimism that Davenport had taking over the case, I really have no faith in them. They didn't want to work it. I can't imagine the frustration the family must feel.

Please don't let this case go cold.

This is one I thought was a no-brainer. When Carrie was found, I was sure she would get justice. So I really wish this would move along. It sounds like the fact that he was in her car, and that's all they have.

I have a few threads flagged on my phone, and my heart jumps every time Carrie's thread appears. Thank you Lil Quirky for this news! :happydance: Now off to read the articles!

I went to Justice For Carrie FB page first, and it looks like it may have been locked or closed? Hopefully it will open back up soon.

Prayers for Carrie's family. May justice be swift and harsh!

Ex-boyfriend arrested in Carrie Olson's death

Carrie Olson's former boyfriend was charged Friday morning in her death and disappearance.

Tim McVay, 39, of Rock Island is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death, Rock Island County State's Attorney John McGehee said.

McVay was arrested at a work site in Silvis Friday morning and taken into custody without incident, McGehee said.

He is being held in the Rock Island County Jail on a $1.5 million bond.
