I suspect they'll go somewhere along the confusion route. The State's case would need to be pretty weak for anything in that scope to work. I don't believe it is.
What motive could Wright have to 'mastermind' Teresa's death - his bff was unhappy in his marriage?
It all comes down to money. Wright had none.
Wright brings JRR in. JRR's payment will be $10,000. Who pays him? Rogers knows where the money's coming from, he confides in his girlfriend after the fact. (We went into other realms in the past about CW potentially taking Rogers out, but moot as it didn't happen). Rogers' girlfriend TaySho's evidence comes into play here. Bare in mind MS & JRR are being tried together, a plus for this phase of the trial.
I'd be surprised if many out there are unaware of one of the oldest tricks in the book - wasn't there, couldn't have been me. I doubt even one juror would buy into that. State will focus on what it is, CWW (JRR) being a hired hit-man for his 'bro'.
There's a ton of evidence in this case we're aware of to date. Who knows what's still to come out.
I also doubt the defence is behind the burglaries. It could be something as simple as FL says - ghoul snatchers. It could also, though, be their client who's yanking someone's chain in the hope it could be used to the end Oregonmama suggests. This is a guy who thinks he's smarter than the average bear but in reality's out of his depth in a puddle. He won't walk away from this.
