I read through the thread but didn't see this mentioned. Russian scammers targeted Myra's family trying to extort $70,000 in exchange for her location: http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/03/russian_scammers_target_alabam.html
instead of hearing her daughter's voice on her birthday, Metcalf received a Facebook message from a woman claiming to have seen a girl resembling Freeman in Atlanta working as a prostitute. Through a series of messages, Metcalf was told her daughter was being trafficked, and that she could buy her back for $70,000.

Metcalf said she immediately contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation who believe the messages were actually from scammers attempting to extort money. These scammers appeared to a ring from Russia who created fake Facebook accounts and provided Metcalf with phone numbers of people to contact.

Those contacts, however, were for innocent people who knew nothing about Freeman or her whereabouts.

The above profile is now on fb targeting another missing girl's fb page: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?315661-MI-Aireona-Smith-12-Flint-1-August-2016

Could these be related and the same scammers?

I dont think they are that far off. They seem to be at different angles. The one on the left is looking up with her head held up, so you see more jaw line showing. On other pics Myra's jaw line is more pointed, so if she was thinner it might appear as above on right.

I don't know. Just didn't want to ignore any possibilities.

I think in the beginning it was thought AF ran away, however by now she is 18 I think. If she did run away, wouldn't she notify the law and tell them she is safe but doesn't want to be found?

It doesn't seem to add up to me and I'm really concerned she may have encountered some foul play. Thoughts?

I agree. This one is new to me but that seems the most likely scanerio. If she wanted to stay away, she doesn't have to hide now shes 18.

subscribing, there seems to be too many cases like this due to chat rooms etc, hope there is a good outcome in the end for Myra Alissia

I pray that Myra is safe. Unfortunately, sex trafficking is now the 3rd largest crime here in the US and it's hard not to believe so many of the recent missing have not been targeted. The FBI's recent Operation Cross Country X rescued 82 minors, making over 200 arrests. The FBI notes "minors recovered during an arrest are engaged with state protective services and victim assistance. Depending on the level of need, a law enforcement officer and, if available, an FBI victim specialist will accompany the survivor to obtain these services." But does anyone know what becomes with adult victims?

Mom suspects her missing daughter could be held against her will

The Facebook post, shared almost half a million times by Sunday morning, suggests Freeman could be a victim of human trafficking.

“No one deserves to be forced into doing things they don’t want to do and I know it’s hard to think about all of the horrible things that go in this world but if we just ignore it – how are we helping?

“Also, a lot of people don’t realize how big of a problem trafficking is . . . ”

Reminds me of Gracie Toelle , could it be the same person they met online? Same MO telling them to slip out while taking the trash out?
