Have a look on Google maps satellite view. It was a block of 8 and she was in a one bed roomed flat. Could have been 59 Leonard St?
Thank you I.C.
That block of units has 8 letterboxes, and the unit block looks as though it's been there a while.

The magic words in that report was ALL of the charges... does that mean he has pleaded to some of the charges? It seemed odd the first time I read it. .. now... more so.

Sounded like that to me the first time I read it as well. But so ambiguous! I wish they just said it as it was, like the reports in the old days.

"If we don't catch the *advertiser censored* there's every chance he'll kill again" he (Kiernan) said. "We don't want to alarm everyone, but there's every possibility."

Perth newspaper report on brutal murder of Victoria Clark after 9th Sept 1987

It hasnt been committed to the Supreme Court yet & he did not appear in court so he hasnt made a plea at all

Article in the West Australian today regards to LG who disappeared on October 8, 1999 in Kalgoorlie (Note does not appear to be related to CSK however thought of would be of interest).

I'll post what I have, just taken off phone and haven't even read it since quickly took photos months ago.

Cleared with forensic tests!! This is what strikes me. DNA ?? That was what was on the kimono linking this with Huntingdale.

David Troy Masters, who lived in one of the group of flats confessed to the murder of VC after being convicted and serving 7 years in Queensland for killing a backpacker. Wasn't his DNA on the kimono though. Team effort?

"If we don't catch the *advertiser censored* there's every chance he'll kill again" he said. "We don't want to alarm everyone, but there's every possibility."

Possibly the statement of the decade.

The third article mentions Miss Clark was a part-time sales rep for a Perth bakery and had been living alone for 4-months.

I'm curious if the bakery was part of MMs on the corner of Murray & Pier St, Perth. I can't think of any other bakeries.

The evening she went out with the sailors she was parked near MMs.

Even if there were witnesses, what's the chances of them coming forward. They'd have to be very brave, because of the repercussions. JMO

Deals do get made though, guess it depends on the circumstances.

Bikies do have that reputation. https://thewest.com.au/news/australia/violent-times-in-reign-of-bikie-gangs-ng-ya-210395

I once lived next door to Gary Edwards brother. Although he didn't go by the name Warren. He only went by the nickname that he used with the Gypsy Jokers.

Hey Davo is there anyone left in Perth who you don't know, haven't worked with, or haven't got at least one degree of separation with?

Laura Kate Muckerslie

This case has an unsettling feeling about it, police seemed to want a suicidal overdose decision never mind the fact that there was no injecting gear found. Shades of Andrew Petrelis who was right handed, naked and crouched over supposedly managed to inject himself in his right arm with a syringe with no needle.

Must remember that Perth was a very small place for a long time, when one of my great grandfathers on my maternal line came over from Victoria in the 1890's there were only about 50,000 people here. Now his name is on every second football booted on an oval. My eldest uncle on my maternal line knows much more interesting people than I ever will. ;)

Accusations of WAPOL corruption: lots to read in Facebook page "PoliceLeaks Australia" post dated 26 November 2014.

Quote from transcript from Four Corners TV show:

"STEPHEN McDONELL: The fight against organised crime in Western Australia has all the appearances of being a shambles.
Detectives, criminals and government watchdogs can agree on only one fact -- there is corruption in the police service.
TERRY O'CONNOR, CHAIRMAN, ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION: I suppose you've got to expect that there's always going to be some bad eggs in the barrel.
We would say that there are more bad eggs in the Western Australian Police Service barrel than one might expect.
STEPHEN McDONELL: The trouble is nobody can agree on who the corrupt officers are or what constitutes corruption.
LES AYTON, DEPUTY POLICE COMMISSIONER, 1994-1996: There is no way you can effectively catch criminals by sticking strictly to the letter of the law.
Good detectives have to take the law to the knife's edge.
BOB FALCONER, POLICE COMMISSIONER, 1994-1999: If you're skilled in detecting and presenting evidence, well, clearly, if you want to turn to the dark side of the force -- to use an Americanism -- then you can easily use those same skills and knowledge as a countermeasure.
STEPHEN McDONELL: The beneficiary of this accusation and counteraccusation is organised crime.
Western Australia has seen failed prosecutions, the mysterious death of a star witness in a drug trial and a high-tech police operation called off without notice.
Tonight, Four Corners goes to the dark parts of Perth where police and criminals go and where corruption seems to be prosecuted selectively."
