Let’s say you speculate on Mr. Fuzzy Sizzle. (Hokey, I know but trying to think of a name that nobody really has, I hope ). Mr. Sizzle applies for a job. His potential employer googles that name and it leads to him a serial killer forum on a crime sleuthing site. No job for Mr. Sizzle and he decides he will sue the poster and the site hosting the post. NOT A GOOD THING !!

Also, it is not acceptable to post pics and just say Google Maps. We need an actual LINK that other WSers and Mods/Admin can click to take them directly to the picture rather than trying to find it using unknown search parameters. This is just courtesy, and is also required under The Rules.

Interesting coincidence, we were discussing convicted murderer Vernon Silich who drove taxis only a week or so ago, wondering if he had bikie &/or CSK links in relation to Lisa Govan.

Too early for Silich and parole I suppose.

Must've been interesting for Vernon to grow up listening to stories about the big cases that his dad worked on, murders, stock market swindles, Hong Kong money laundering, kidnappers, TRG raids, etc. Makes me wonder if he ever shared prison time with some of these felons and regaled in stories of crime?

Theres an indication of time taken to go to trial - Silich was arrested in the same month his parents were killed April 2008. He was tried April 2010.

No doubt he has to make his time go a little easier.

I don't recall since BRE's arrest 1 year ago and these extra detectives being brought in to help, any raids relevant to missing and murdered women. This seems to be the first one. Unless there have been searches activated and we just haven't heard about them.

I suppose Vernon spends his time regaling a captive audience with his own crime stories nowadays. One could imagine being a bug on the wall to hear whether he's a braggart or claims he innocent, but I bet no one wants to hang around him when he's sleeping. His only visitors are probably some of those detectives.

Police conducted exhaustive questioning of neighbours and friends, but NOT family? why not?

A better question would be why after "exhaustive questioning of neighbours", was David Troy Masters not arrested? There were only 7 other units in her complex and he lived in one of them. He was her neighbour. Maybe he was questioned and passed "forensic tests" as well!

Her mother came from Tennant Creek in Northern Territory so may be understandable about family.

30 extra detectives and looking at perhaps 16 other unsolved murders. Its very strange with all these cops working on the case that they may not have the brief ready for the original two murder charges, a sexual assault and indecent assault charges.

Is it possible they have been adding other charges that have been suppressed? The was the first news came out (abc) about vacating the court date until Feb, was written strangely IMO. Maybe nothing.

If he is somehow found innocent in this judge only trial (seemed circumstantial IMO) then the cops might be able to whack another charge on him for LG. He matches the description of a bald headed guy seen getting into a taxi with her and might have had connections with Deroes. JMOO.

The magic words in that report was ALL of the charges... does that mean he has pleaded to some of the charges? It seemed odd the first time I read it. .. now... more so.

WS did look at this and it came up that a poster said BRE did go to Kalgoorlie and didn't socialise with his workmates. I saw Lisa's face in the Perthnow article and was just compelled to bring her forward.

That poster was called something like threeblindmice but seemed to be called out for making stuff up. However I've had a quick look over on the Hayley Dodd thread and telstra workers were either the last or near to last to see her if those posts can be believed. Now I'm getting confused.

Totally ignored for the last 15 years is this:-
There was a Telstra tech, working at the corner of Wathingarra road on that morning in a below ground communications pit. He says he didn't stop for lunch till about 1205 and sat on tailboard of his ute to eat lunch and didn't see Hayley walk past.

At 1.20 PM - ~12.6 km's further east than Wathingarra road - at or near the corner of Mungedar road, 2 Telstra technicians "Smith and Bennet" who were doing similar comms pit work to that of the technician working alone at corner of Wathingara road were traveling east along North West Road, towards Corner of Coalara road, for their next job.

Driver SMITH, said he saw a young girl matching Hayley's attire & stature walking east along the left hand side of the road. He commented to his passenger Bennet at the time 'words to the effect' that "it was unusual to see such a young girl walking alone so far from the nearest town"...

Passenger Bennet had his head in the work manual checking details for the next job at Coalara road so didn't look up from his manual in time to see Hayley, as the driver Smith did - when he made the remark!

As a result some police person in the original investigation - made a decision to ignore the reported sighting by Smith (because it couldn't be visually confirmed by the passenger Bennet) ~ 12.6km's further east along North West Road near the corner of Mungedar road, at 1.20 pm

Have a look on Google maps satellite view. It was a block of 8 and she was in a one bed roomed flat. Could have been 59 Leonard St?
