I don't think innocent forgetting is viable here because if William wasn't wearing his sandals he left them behind. FFC would have found them by now.Hang on, though. It's not a conspiracy theory to suggest that all information needs verification. That's just sensible. Memories are unreliable. And the only information we-the-public have about what happened the morning William disappeared comes from the memories of FFC. We were not given any evidence at the inquest by William's foster grandmother or his sister, so there's no way to verify anything of what FFC remembers. Considering the situation and how scary it must have been for her, it would be strange if her memories are all correct and in order. (That's not a criticism, just acknowledgement that stress affects memory.)
