Agree..... if RP's car was seen around 9am -10am it would make sense.....(IF it really is RP's car?? )

Were they visiting the neighbor next door to PS??? The one we know scarcely anything about ????

It doesn't make sense and it's disappointing that the 7 doco didn't address the timing, or the second car (apart from mentioning it was seen).
 
Another thing that doesn't quite make sense......... IMO

Ch7 states that FA's phone was turned off for 3 days that weekend...... (This fits the theory presented...)

FA may have stayed with RP on the Thursday night ...... (This also fits the theory presented...)

DP says FA was home on the Saturday ..... (This does not fit the theory presented... although we do not know what time this was) Pretty sure of FA was absent the entire 3 days that William went missing DP would have remembered that!

How and when did FA contact RP to ask him for a lift with the child??? (Do Police have an answer to this? What did RP say about this??)

what happened to the other car that was ‘seen’ on the street that morning along with the white station (grey / green / brown sedan)

what time were those cars first seen by FM ?
I always thought it was first up in the day - like, they got up & she drew the curtains, open up etc, and noticed the cars (dismissed at the time but recalled later)

‘Steve’ believes that FA stayed overnight on Thursday, dropped Ray at hospital at 9am Friday for his dialysis, then headed out to Benaroon Dr on a mission to suss out if could steal something ( as he’d been told by Owen about doing the quote for deck)
Is he suggesting that FA did an early morning drive / stake out of # 48, returned to collect Ray & drop him at hospital, drove back to 48 Benaroon Dr & found a better opportunity in William ?
Kept William & Car until meeting with Ray next morning to drive 300 Kl north (toward Brisbane Caroline said) and ‘Steve’ marked it as Casino.

I seem to recall that we spent time previously on examining Ray’s discharge at 3pm - can anyone remember how that transpired ? Did he walk out, was he collected, where did he go etc.
Did he live in Kendall or Wauchope ?

Re testimony ‘Ms Okpegbue said Mr Porter told her he'd picked up his friend and “a cute little boy” who he believed was William from behind Kendall school’ - not met then there ....

Imo, on the face of it, FA seems a very, very, likely candidate. However, I’m not convinced... there r gaps, prob why the cops haven’t pounced... poss why he was allowed the privileges at the Inquest, to see if he’d incriminate himself; possibly why Ch7 airing this & bringing in ‘Steve’ to see if that upsets anything or pricks anyone else’s memory (btw, is ‘Steve’ the husband of Iris Norstrum?)

all just my usual musings & opinions, so pray for answers ..

I also had wondered if PS had seen something he was not meant to and was traumatised and suppressed the memory. His searching that day was also a bit bizarre from memory. Didn't he have a couple of hours unaccounted for?

Didn’t someone’s ‘son’ scrap a car in Qld or something like, that resembled that other car, the sedan .

yes Bear, this was a bit of a heart stopper - there was an inquest, which we don’t know the results of. It could be relevant or it could be sensationalist journalism. . either way, it’s very sad that once again we hear of a child who never got to reach its adult potential.

Perhaps a wiley FA pulled up behind the sedan, quite close, so no-one could see the front number plate. (I would put nothing at all past that despicable person.)

Because the two cars were parked there, doesn't necessarily mean their presence was related. imo

Did FM report seeing anyone IN these cars ? I recall windows being down / 1/2 down or the like, but where were the ‘drivers’

yep, Steve had a lot to say - IMO he’s pretty p&$# off at his old mate FA, who he used to look up to & who reminded him of his Dad; until suddenly he’s doing 16 years for this appalling crime against children. . 16 years! Most of these crimes only attract 6 years, according to ‘Steve’. .

Also I was quite surprised by the Casino reference as our calculations of a 300km destination were different ….

I am guessing that FA’s phone call to his brother, and lunch at the Church Hall with his daughter, regarding his alibi, have been discredited???? But there was no mention of that, unless I missed it??? Why only mention one portion of his alibi … withdrawing his pension???

I think possibly the Police did consider FA as highly likely to have been involved…… however the latest updates, seem to imply Police have moved on in a different direction…. ??? IMO
But time will tell…

Also now, Police seem to think they will find William, and be able to return him to his families, which doesn’t really fit with FA??? Unless they have been able to “crack” him in prison??? IMO

Although one reason they may not have questioned FA at the inquest, is that they didn’t want him to reveal his guilt in a Coroner’s Court….. (My neighbour -a previous State Coroner told me that if it looks like incriminating evidence is going to occur,/ be spilled, the Coroner closes it down abruptly, for justice to prevail in the correct court)

I do pray that William will be one day soon found, and the culprit sentenced for the rest of their life to prison, and his families get some sort of closure….

You can see, from this exchange just what the cops are dealing with IMO just to get basic info IMO

DP : I know I am telling the truth

FA : In 2010 / 2011 at John's River opposite the shop where the boys broke in to my place & took my car to the bush & burnt it "

CORONER : I'll stop you there Mr Abbott. I've given you some leway.

FA : Who asked me to move onto property, you or your brother ?

DP : Wasn't me!

FA : You calling your brother a liar?

DP : My brother was the only person stopping you from my father kicking you out! 3 times my father came to you on the verandah & asked you to leave.

DP : For a start lets stop these lies right now. I knew it was coming ( police ) . You said " you know you'll never get rid of me "

DP : thur 11/9/14 working on bus, Ray picked you up at 12pm.

FA : That again not correct Mr Parish, police have evidence"

CORONER : I have read all the information Mr Abbott


Than there was a conversation about how often GO was seen at HC property. FA say only twice ( once to fix a hot water system )

DP replied I've seen him more than twice your honour.

FA said he didn't know GO until he moved to his property ( 2014 )

I really appreciate your snippets and insights from the inquest, thanks for sharing Doc.

I can see why police are having a hard time pinning down FA now. The evidence from the various witnesses is as clear as mud.

If this was the day after William disappeared, they were still searching for a little lost boy, not a boy who had been taken, if I'm not mistaken.

But at the same time, they are talking about having seen the white station wagon which looked like RP's, and how DP went to ask FA, and yet the public was not aware of the white station wagon until one year after WT's disappearance, at which time the drawing of it was all over the news. Seems like two different instances may be getting intertwined?
