Blood Aboard the "Yacht"

Thanks, even more interesting info! Wonder why he ended the excursion earlier than planned.

"After Millard decided to call off his 10-day trip early, Blodgett said the man unpacked the boat and visited him a final time to ask if he might be able to get a refund for the remaining days. Blodgett said he’d think about it, and Millard left."

I may have found the answer myself.

"After the toilet couldn’t be fixed, he said Mr. Millard cut the voyage short by a couple of days."

This whole yacht story is weird ... the first article said he didn't see DM (or the girl) when the boat was dropped off, now he say's DM was looking for a refund because he returned the boat early.

Maybe he means that he didn't see them arrive back on shore, so he doesn't know if the female came back with DM or not. When DM went to the office to ask for a refund, the female wasn't with him.

Yes, this whole story is certainly strange. I blame some of that on bad reporting by the media, however, it does certainly give me a bad feeling. I agree, if the woman had her period she would clean it up.

Do we know when in 2011 this took place? Has anybody done a search for any missing females reported during that time period?

The latest article posted said it was a blocked toilet that caused DM to cut his trip short, makes me wonder what DM was trying to flush down there.

Maybe this sick puppy was into rough sex and the woman was recovering somewhere. Could they be paid escorts, I'm wondering?

Somebody mentioned here on WS yesterday that possibly he was a paid escort and that these women might have been paying him for the "adventure". I can't find the post, so maybe it was deleted.

No offence to some of the men but typically as soon as you mention period they don't really want more details IMO

Absolutely, anyone starts talking to a man about period blood or even periods they just want to walk away from that conversation as fast as they can. Always a great excuse to tell your boss why you can't make a meeting, they never ask any questions.

A woman never leaves period blood anywhere.

Jeesh, I hope he wasn't performing an abortion on this woman. I can't believe I said that and I probably shouldn't have but blood and then the toilet breaking and her nowhere to be found.

Speaking as a girl, I wouldn't be walking around letting my period blood drip all over the place. If for some reason it did happen, I would be very embarrasaed and I would clean it up immediately. Just my opinion though.
This is my first post so forgive me if the link doesn't work, I'm still figuring it all out :)
http://m.thespec.com/news-story/324...cht-owner-blood-on-rented-boat-was-menstrual/

I had an ex-gf who not once but twice twice did not realize she left a couple drops on the toilet seat and a few drops on the floor. She did not have her contacts in one time and the other time was after a FEW wobbly pops haha so I can say I have witnessed such a thing....it is possible if this was a true excuse the girl in question was very high and/or drunk at the time and did not know it happened or could not care less at the time....but this is DM we are talking about and the evidence has not been favouring him so far on the scoreboard...

Exactly what I was thinking...bring up period blood and no more questions asked.

Interesting angle. Either way, I'm thinking escort.

I knew this story would rapidly morph after the first article I read. In that article, Blogett was quoted as saying a "quantity" of blood.

Now it's:

bloody yacht
large amount of blood
blood drops
small droplets of blood

All this is, is journalists trying to make it as macabre as possible. As if this case isn't already wicked enough.

Either way, the explanation DM supposedly gave is 100% bull. The fact that the yacht owner/rental guy bought it, makes me wonder what's wrong with him. When I mentioned it to my hubby (who is married to a girl and has 6 daughters) his eyebrow went up. I wont tell you what he said, but suffice it say, I think most men know most girls don't leave droplets laying around, ever, for any reason.

To be fair, this is a direct quote from Mr. Blodgett:

"When I arrived, I saw a large amount of blood around the boat," he said. "After questioning Millard about it, I was satisfied with his answer and confident nothing unreasonable had taken place on the yacht. You'll need to speak with OPP on how Millard answered that question."

IMO as a woman, I'd want to plan the trip around my menstrual cycle. Just my two cents.

What stands out to me, is that the boat owner was concerned enough to confront DM. Personally, small traces of blood in a bathroom wouldn't alarm me. A cut on the finger, a cut from shaving, are common, and people aren't always careful about cleaning up after themselves. If he felt compelled to ask DM about it, and actually remembered it even now, seems to me it was more than just a few drops of blood. MOO

I have never known to have a menstral cycle that left large amounts of blood on the floor... Hope they find out who the missing girl was..

There was a quote before this, too, about how many men hear "period" and stop the conversation.

I firmly believe that DM is a sociopath. Sociopaths lie without a conscious and will say whatever it takes to get their end result. DM would not have any problem using a woman's menstrual cycle as his excuse for the blood. Since the yacht company representative was a male, DM instinctively knows that he will not ask any more questions if that explanation is given.

I hope that makes sense, I am typing quickly before I have to leave for a while.

If interested in learning more about how Sociopaths lie, just do a quick google search.

edit to add: menstrual "blood" is not actually blood it is mostly made up of the shedding of the cells from the uterus. Forensic testing can determine this pretty easily, however, since it was two years ago might make testing harder.

Wow! I have had my menstral cycle for many, many years never once did it drip on the floor or around the house!!

If she came out from a swim in the water it could be unstoppable but who would invite someone on board for repair and not clean that up?
Whether it was menstrual blood or not who would leave any drops of blood on this boat and not clean it before someone came in to clear toilet? Disgraceful and rude.
