I think she was killed because MJ's intention was to bind, torture, rape and kill...his perverted self had waited as long as it could to do this. He enjoyed torturing and raping in 1992 but never got over not killing that girl. The regret that he didn't slit her throat stayed with him and festered until it ate a hole in his soul. In his primitive brain, he was safe using a relative....the one time (that we know of) he used a stranger, he was sent to jail. Not so with his relatives....no charges in 1985 or the 7 years before, and absolutely smooth sailing with his step-daughter since 2003. IMO the "Problem" was finding a relative he could do this to. Couldn't use Brooke's sister, she's too old to be tricked by the likes of him; absolutely couldn't kill AR; under no circumstances could he grab a stranger...he wasn't smart enough to pull off a stranger abduction. Had to be a relative...it had to be Brooke. I don't think poor Brooke knew anything to tell about her uncle and cousin...I think she really thought she was going to a party.

Yes that is where we are talking about. I think it is wishful thinking! At least to me, she seemed very cold. Who knows what they have said to each other behind closed doors (not to say Cassandra is blameless because I don't believe that at all) but I would certainly have had a few choice words to say to Denise if I was Cassandra. And maybe that is why Denise seemed so cold. Who knows!

I'm back,had dinner with daughter,I have a younger sister that at one time years back corresponded with a convicted murderer,and went to visit him. She has very low self esteem sounds like Denise may have been visiting MJ in jail and my have helped facilitate his early release.

Has anyone been able to find out exactly when MJ was released from prison and when him and Denise were married? I wouldn't be shocked to find out there was, as someone else posted, a penpal relationship.

That's what I thought too from the dates given. She must of married him very shortly after he was released also. Haven't seen a mention of how these two ever met.

By the time I read yesterdays posts and re-read articles and affidavits, I was too tired to post!
I am of the opinion that the p*****g in the mouth meant the literal. I believe that Jacques has been taping and taking pictures of this young stepdaughter in acts for years and has profited from it. As for the language, this is the language that would have been used in such films. Would not surprise me if phone sessions were not a part of this as well.
In the long run, after more comes out, I am of the honest opinion that this will be a child pornagraphic ring. All in the 'ring' are pedophiles, IMO, and are also swapping/making their own child *advertiser censored*.
I also feel that this (not going to write the name) LANDLORD of Gagnon's will eventually be a witness at trial with immunity. This landlord has a relative that is on the Texas RSO site. I think this illusive relative is involved as well. This is all just my opinion.

Vermont Corrections officials have changed their story and admitted they actually SUPPORTED early probation release for the man accused of kidnapping Brooke Bennett
Federal authorities have charged Michael Jacques with kidnapping his niece Brooke Bennett, 12.
In 2006, Jacques was released seven years early from probation for raping and kidnapping a teenager in Rutland in 1992.
In 2004, Judge Amy Davenport okayed the early release over the strong opposition of prosecutors.
Last week, Corrections officials insisted they also opposed the early release.
However, today the Governor's office said that Corrections made a mistake. A double check of records shows the department actually urged the judge to okay the early release for Jacques.

MJ was convicted on 07-12-1993. It was on the Sex offenders registry before they took him off it. If he served 4 years that means he was released in July of 1997. Does anyone have the marriage date for Denise & MJ? I thought it was posted at one point but I'm not up to searching thousands of posts for it. Wasn't Busy?? an expert on this?

This is just speculation on my part, but we will probably find out later on that Denise probably corresponded with him while he was in prison. There are even prison pen pal sites. This is all just a con game for some of the inmates to get someone to put money into their prison accounts and also to find someone to support them when they get out of prison until they either find a job or figure out another con game. Some inmates even get more eloquent inmates to write their romantic letters for them and all they do is sign their name to it.
I would really like to know if Denise had ever been on Jacques visitors list.

Jacques was released from prison in August 1996 & released from probation in December 2006.

Denise's mother was quoted in the Burlington Free Press last week as saying Jacques has been her son-in-law for 12 years.

If he was incarcerated until 1997, she might be off by a year.

Could Denise have married him while he was still in prison?

You just described my sister to a T. One exception is that she didn't meet the inmate from a pen pal site. She knew his cage mate and that's where it started. The letters you describe and everything. Thing is he was in for 3 years at that point and him and cage mate both told her it was for a DUI. Had it all planned out that he was gonna come live with her, wrote the letters to prison officials.Bought gifts for his daughter, etc. Damn right I told her she's an idiot because she is!!!

In an article, IIRC, the premise for this 'early release from probation' was so that Jacques could get a promotion at work so he could go out of the country on job related trips. I would like to know if he has gone out of the country on job related trips and also if Gagnon has any trips on his passport as well.
It is just nagging away at me that this is a child *advertiser censored* 'ring' has been trading both out of country as well as in country.
This post is just my opinion only, but I honestly believe it!
