By the time I read yesterdays posts and re-read articles and affidavits, I was too tired to post!
I am of the opinion that the p*****g in the mouth meant the literal. I believe that Jacques has been taping and taking pictures of this young stepdaughter in acts for years and has profited from it. As for the language, this is the language that would have been used in such films. Would not surprise me if phone sessions were not a part of this as well.
In the long run, after more comes out, I am of the honest opinion that this will be a child pornagraphic ring. All in the 'ring' are pedophiles, IMO, and are also swapping/making their own child *advertiser censored*.
I also feel that this (not going to write the name) LANDLORD of Gagnon's will eventually be a witness at trial with immunity. This landlord has a relative that is on the Texas RSO site. I think this illusive relative is involved as well. This is all just my opinion.

I agree. I think that the fact that there are now THREE confirmed pedophiles involved in this case is more than just coincidence. Pedos can sniff each other out, and I think eventually it is going to be learned that they were all sharing. JMO

Denise was married to someone else until 6/10/1997 I believe so her marriage to Jacques would of been after that and mil just is bad at math.

IMO, if Brooke had info about MJ and AR, or was approached sexually and refused, they would not have waited almost a month to get rid of her. There would have been too much opportunity for Brooke to tell someine. If anything, I think MJ made up a reason that Brooke was a problem to convince AR to go along.
My dearest SuziQ,:blowkiss:
There have been many criminals that have waited longer than a month to murder someone that they think would have info.

Let me give you just one example of the inmates that I had to be locked in a unit with in my job that are in that description.

James Rivers was hired by Gregory Reed to commit arson in a building block where he owned a business in 1984. St. Johnsbury is where the building was. The owner wanted to collect insurance money, he knew his building would burn down since it was next to the building that the fire was started in.
James asked his good friend Rene Savage to help him with the arson. Rene did. (James was 21 and Rene was 20)
It was thought that Rene might go to the police with what he had done, he knew too much. So after months of planning to silence Rene, the act was finally put in motion.
They had to plan to ensure that everything was in order so that nothing would point back to them.
The plan was carried out when James and Gregory asked Rene to lunch. They took Rene to McDonalds for lunch. They then took him to a sandpit in Waterford and murdered him.
Rene was buried in a shallow grave.
Reed sought the help of his wife's uncle Don Persons who was a funeral director. Reed feared that the body would be discovered.
Reed asked Person's how to make a body rot rapidly. He asked Don that because he assumned that a funeral director would know that stuff. Person's went to the police. He led police to the body and he was the main witness in the trial.
Reed sued Persons in 1989 for slander.

Gregory was given a sentence of 19 years to life.
James has been out of for at least 10 years.

Rene Savage was the brother of Jamie Savage.
Jamie Savage and Louis Hamlin (teens) raped and murdered Melissa Walbridge here in Vermont in 1981. Melissa was 12-years-old. Her friend Meghan O'Rourke was raped and left for dead. She was also 12-years-old. This happened right down the street from where I was living with my aunt.
Jamie Savage served a few years in a prison in Texas. He changed his name. Texas alerted us of his name change.

Gregory Reed was a State Representative here in Vermont.

This article outlines the dates of MJ incarceration, release from jail and probationary period. Denise definately played a part in his release from probation.

In an interview yesterday, Vermont Commissioner of the Department of Corrections Rob Hofmann said that while the judge who approved Jacques's early release indicated in her ruling that a probation officer supported the decision, internal documents show the department was opposed to letting Jacques off probation. Hofmann said the department is investigating the discrepancy.

Jacques was released from prison in August 1996 and was placed on probation. Including the time between his arrest and trial, he served four years and two months in prison.

While saying Jacques's crime was "exceedingly brutal" and "rivals the most brutal and terrifying scenarios seen today on television and in the movies," Davenport noted that Jacques had a stable home with his wife, Denise Jacques, and a job. He had completed a sex offender treatment program in 2000.

Wow!!

(eta: That wow is for dark_shadows' post.)

So Jacques was out of prison in August 96, Denise was otherwise married until June 97, and the MIL has a 12-year period in her mind. Wish we knew how long after her divorce she married Jacques.

Jacques was released from prison in August 1996 & released from probation in December 2006.
http://www.vnews.com/07092008/4941902.htm

From link:

"In 1993, Jacques was sentenced to 6 to 20 years in prison for kidnapping and raping an 18-year-old girl, whom he handcuffed and held at knifepoint, according to a police affidavit. With legally mandated credit for time served and good behavior, Jacques was released from prison in August 1996, and was placed on probation. Including the time between his arrest and trial, he served 4 years and 2 months in prison."

Yikes! Either I can't add or he didn't serve 4 years and 2 mos. Maybe it was timed served before his trial? I'm confused.

In any case, someone had a bunch of genealogy links that might have given their marriage date. Is that info available online from the county courthouse?

Oh, I just saw Starr58's post 4 years from the time of arrest - not conviction.

They are talking about his early release from Parole when it mentions his wife denise.

Dark_shadows, thank you for the welcome.

You must have some amazing stories and been privy to some terrible knowledge.
Thanks for sharing that one.

dark_shadows, I was trying to look this case up yesterday. I read the book on it years ago (I grew up in Colchester). What a horrible story. :(

It is very nice to have you here.
Yes there are years of stories and horrifying knowledge.
Rivers, the one that was in the post I did a few minutes ago, was in my unit right before he was released. He helped his wife out with a pet shop in St. Albans. If you saw him in the store, you would never guess that he was a cold blooded killer...

Hamlin's file is still in one of the facilities that I worked at. His whole file is very horrifyinfg to read and the public does not know the half of what happened.

Was Judge Davenport high on bat**** when she wrote this in her ruling?

While saying Jacques's crime was "exceedingly brutal" and "rivals the most brutal and terrifying scenarios seen today on television and in the movies," Davenport noted that Jacques had a stable home with his wife, Denise Jacques, and a job. He had completed a sex offender treatment program in 2000. According to Davenport's decision, department of corrections guidelines said a defendant should be on probation for half the amount of time they served in prison. Jacques served eight years on probation, double the time he was in prison.

I know this is completely not what we are talking about but I can't seem to get it off my mind. Did anyone else that watched the funeral notice that not much was said ABOUT Brooke? (personality, her as a person) C is the only one that seemed to talk about Brooke at all. I mean at most funerals I have been to, (especially younger ones) they always talk about the person and maybe share memories. JMO

dark_shadows,

I suspect I wouldn't want to. I read the book about the case years ago. You can actually still find it on Amazon. I remember being astonished that such a thing could happen in Vermont. I felt the same way when I heard about Brooke.

I replied to where you posted this same post in the Funeral thread.

A quote from Judge Amy Davenport:

"The criminal justice system has three primary responsibilities, according to Judge Amy Davenport, chief administrative judge for the state: Keeping victims and communities safe, holding offenders accountable, and providing opportunity for offender rehabilitation."

Isn't this contradictory to her actions in MJ's case?

I thought about that also, but wondered if the family might speak more about Brooke at the private burial ceremony?
