Certainly. If people want to follow, they certain may do so. But I wont. She has children that have to move on with life. Tabloids following their mother and keeping their names in the news wont help them any.

100% true. But what it will prevent her from doing is writing a book, or signing any deals where she will profit less than $300k, right? Don’t remember exactly what she owes.

I think I just read the other day in the articles posted upthread that she owes the state around $300,000 in recovery costs for the search efforts they made to find her. Crime shoudn't pay.

Unfortunately, there are so many ways to skirt around opportunities with books and docuseries deals where any "profits" derived from the sales are donated to charity but it doesn't prevent SP from recovering her alleged "expenses." For example, Michael Peterson -- author of "Behind the Staircase" and more.

If I remember correctly, SP's sister was a paid consultant on at least one of the documentaries. Similar with Alex Murdaugh where funds paid to others can easily find their way to his canteen. JMO

I don't purport to have knowledge of what the sister believes other than SP was released from jail to the residence of her sister pending federal sentencing. I think it likely she was also living with the sister when Keith filed for separation years earlier. MOO

OFFER of REWARD
After SP was reported missing: "Nov. 4, 2016 Secret Witness of Shasta County announces a $10,000 reward for information" then "Nov. 5, 2016 Family members add $40,000 to the reward, bringing the total to $50,000."*

IDK if either reward was paid, but guessing some donors, esp'ly fam. including ex-MIL (if one of them), may now regret having made their offer, whether paid or not.

On March 3, 2022, Sherri Papini was arrested by the FBI, accused of lying to federal agents & faking her kidnapping to spend time with her ex-boyfriend, away from her husband & family. Six weeks after her arrest, Papini signed a plea deal admitting that she had orchestrated the hoax. In September, 2022, she was sentenced to 18 months in prison & fined $300,000. Papini was released from prison in August, 2023 & placed in a halfway house. In April, 2022, a few days after Sherri pleaded guilty to fraud charges, Keith filed for divorce from his wife & for sole custody of their children. Trial began on 10/31/23 & ended same day.
