In reading some of the complaint, I wondered the explanation of investigators getting DNA of the ex off of Sherri's underwear that led to ID'ing him in conjunction with the DNA from the beverage bottle later gotten from his trash can. Yet, he says that he did not have sexual relations with her during her stay with him. So ?

Maybe he lied.

The Thanksgiving Miracle of the Missing Papini.
I will never forget it.
Liar.

Oh my goodness. Finally.

Isn’t the husband the one who said she would return by thanksgiving? And then “miraculously” she did? Was he in on it?

There's no information supporting that SP's husband was involved in the false kidnapping report or SP lying to the FBI or being part of the mail fraud that SP is being charged with.

Imagine breaking your own nose though? That's something special!

Maybe he lied.

Also, I wondered re. the complaint where it says the ex-boyfriend had 2 bedrooms and let Sherri choose one. But also that he opted to sleep on the couch (rather than the 2nd bedroom). It just puzzled me.

I can't believe this took so long. So much time and money wasted on her big fat lie. Infuriating.

Weird. Really. A "brand"? Kink. This gal is beyond "Borderline Personality Disorder". Which makes me wonder about the defense? Mental illness? The lying to FBI? Ah, of course, multiple Personality disorder, Sherri didn't know what happened, she didn't lie, that was another Personality!

There is no way the Husband was in on this. It says she was shacking up with an ex boyfriend.

It sounds like she may have contemplated leaving her Husband and kids and then changed her mind after all of the publicity around this case?

I'm looking at two possibilities:

1. She was a bit kinky and wanted something "rough" with her ex.

2. She went with her ex and then realized she needed an excuse.

I am a little bit surprised.

This one has always infuriated me because I was convinced she was going to get away with it.

It was Jussie Smollet before there was Jussie Smollet, only even more ridiculous.

What really impresses me is how the feds kept working this case, working on the DNA. They knew she was a liar and they didn’t stop until they got their hit.

This is again, a lesson that when we think nothing is happening and LE is dropping the ball, they’re usually working super hard and super quietly.

The only thing I am surprised about is that they actually arrested her and are holding her accountable for her lies and obvious attempts at defrauding the public and various agencies. Not to mention her blaming this all on "Mexicans".

I honestly thought she was going to get away with the whole hoax. It was pretty plain from the start that the "poor pretty blonde <modsnip> white woman stolen and victimised by dirty illegals" fantasy being sold to the press was far removed from the reality of the situation. Her glamour photos being used while she was missing were a decade old for starters, some of us found more up to date photos before they were scrubbed which showed far different image of this woman.

The media willingly bought into the manufactured drama of it all, though. It was infuriating to watch it unfold.

I’m zero surprised. Zero. I felt, given what came out about her background, that it was something she set up with someone she knew — for whatever reason. The involvement of the exB fits. Her family has my sympathy.

Same. The people defending her day in day out have my sympathy.
