Funny enough I myself do not know how to make a copy but can easily review the video from an app on my iPad. If you have a system, I would think you know someone to help you make a copy.

And the police offered to help make a copy if we did not know how.
Bobbi the difference in your case is that LE actually took an interest in your video and wanted to review it promptly. For the Sherman tapes, from what we understand, TPS wasn’t so interested

I was thinking more about the Pampered Nomad, JS’s ex-boyfriend who had been funded and then cut off by Barry. In looking for his blog, I came across this link that looks like the a draft of his blog from its creation. It’s dated July 26, 2016. That date seems significant to me. Didn’t other stuff happen around then with him or generally in the timeline? Am I remembering correctly that it was earlier in July that Barry cut him off?

Here is a link if you are interested. The blog and concept behind Pampered Nomad, are about luxury travel and helping set people up with luxury travel experiences.

You may be correct but IMO the article tosses a couple of negative tid bits to a story for us readers to take rise over. I get the same impression with the 911 call and follow up check in report. They give us a couple of tid bits that leave us with tons of questions, more questions than necessary, to truly explain the LE checkin on that home, for me the articles lack more facts to be more acceptable as a 100% truth.

And I remind myself that we have no idea who LE spoke to or did not speak to, they will not correct the media reports, that would give us the actual facts if they did. If they did I do not see the media offering any updated new report, to finish the story they started with so few details, that would be boring

I often think these articles do not mention who the neighbour is, maybe this neighbour was 3 houses away and did not even see the Sherman driveway entrances in view, I see and read so few facts to be making such decisiveness on what we read in the media, the media are in business to sell stories, they need to make readers feel an emotional connection to the story and get a reaction. LE gather information and evidence for use in court, very different roles and responsibilities over a media report IMO.

You may be correct. I do not share many people’s faith that LE handled this investigation competently.
FWIW IIRC it has been reported multiple times that the neighbours in question with the camera lived directly across from the Sherman’s.

I am not in total disagreement that LE did not miss things or not follow up in a timely matter. They are human and not perfect so this will happen.

Truly I try to not make judgements until I have facts. I have been in a situation where I blamed someone with flimsy hearsay “evidence” , I let my emotions rule the conversation. Really not a conversation I just formed judgment and ruined 8 peoples reputations. When I was proven wrong I felt brutal, could not repair damage done and lost over 15 friends on the fallout.

now when I read or hear something really anything work or personal, I try to do my best to put myself in “their” shoes and what emotional state the mind could be in at that same time that would have a person act or react in such a manner, before I open my mouth. Some of us have asked our children and or husband “What were you thinking” when you did that “odd“ thing?

I still have the quick excited thoughts that the reader had hoped I would infer, but then remind myself to reengineer it backwards to see if I have enough facts to confirm it as true. ( I notice many an article is long but they usually repeat themselves and say very little as facts, again story telling, setting a scene and I assume have legal boundaries to follow for the privacy of the public.)

All good, I tune in daily to read them and enjoy many, I am not in any way inferring that the articles are not a good read or enjoyable.

But I also consider that the bodies were found just about 2 days after the event, the first so important 48 hours that help solve a case were already passed and trails of any potential evidence are cold, LE do not have enough information to ask any potential witnesses what they saw, they now need time of death to know when to start asking questions about.Very hard starting point.

I remember speaking to one of the police on site the night it happened. They were all uniformed patrol police and there job was to not let anyone near the crime scene, ambulances were on the street and close to 10 vehicles, police cars and suv.

We were told once detectives arrive and can access the scene they will come by for an interview. In our case it was the next day. But the detective said the video specialist would contact me for the video.

Bobbi, I maybe confused but the way you write, it sounds like you lived on Old Colony when the Sherman's lived there? Or are you describing another incident involving Police in a different location?

''Honey Sherman left no will but her husband had two. The money they left behind, the estate documents say, is to be divided equally among the couple’s four children: Lauren, Jonathon, Alexandra and Kaelen.

However, the money is to be held in trust until the children reach age 25, when they will receive one-quarter of their inheritance, then one-third upon reaching age 30, the will says. They will receive the full portion at age 35, as an “annual income … for the maintenance, education, advancement in life and benefit of the specified beneficiary.”

''Upon their deaths, Barry Sherman held $67 million in personal property and $1.8 million in real estate. Honey Sherman had $45.9 million in personal property and $9.5 million in real estate, the documents say. This figure covered by the estate files, though, represents a fraction of their true wealth; Forbes estimates Barry Sherman was worth around $3 billion at the time of his death.''

Recent events would have broken their hearts, imo, speculation.
2017
''The couple was active members at Mount Sinai Hospital where they were donors.
In a statement, the hospital said they were “deeply saddened and shocked” to hear about their deaths.
“Barry and Honey Sherman’s commitment to community, unwavering philanthropic leadership and heartfelt commitment to making a difference in people’s lives was palpable in every interaction with them.”
“Their visible leadership in our hospital and foundation board of directors was infused with warmth, passion and a fierce intelligence. The impact of their generosity is felt in every area of the hospital.”

I think based on MS’s court activity Honey and Barry may have been updating something with either the 2016 trust and/or Barry’s main will, imo. She seems to be digging there.

Law and Order Toronto premieres this week on Thursday. "With stories ripped from Canadian headlines..." makes me immediately think of this case. I wonder if they'll touch on it.

''With the Greenspan probe shelved by late 2019, Jonathon says he launched his own private investigation led by Robert Seiden a lawyer and former prosecutor from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office who now runs the U.S.-based company called Confidential Global Investigations. He says he hired Seiden because of Seiden’s personal history — he pursued a law career after his brother, an innocent bystander, was killed during a mob hit.

As part of his investigation team, Seiden has hired a former Toronto police homicide detective who has “good” relations with the Toronto force, Jonathon told me.

When Jonathon gets information, he says, he passes it on to the police. Recently, the lead detective on the Sherman case, Det. Sgt. Brandon Price, visited Jonathon to personally receive a package of information he said he has uncovered.''

Interesting to me that Jonathon is so active in the pursuit of the killers. He was instrumental in hiring Greenspan and the initial team of private detectives, then he increased the reward to $35 million, and hired Seiden and Confidential Global Investigations.

Questions I have.
Does Jonathon or one of surrogates monitors this forum?
Why was the Greenspan team was terminated?
Why was Seiden team then hired?
Is Seiden still involved in this case?
Does Jonathon have confidence in the TPS?
Who does Jonathon suspect, especially based on info he has received from Greenspan and Seiden?
