Found Deceased Canada - Cooper Nemeth, 17, Winnipeg, 14 Feb 2016 *Arrest*

WPS say Cooper Nemeth's body found in a recycling bin outside Bayne Cres. home, home not related to homicide

In the recycling bin? Sounds like a young person who didn't do many chores did the dumping. Any adult (or kid who did household chores) would not think the recycling bin would be a good place. There is nothing in a recycling bin that would have the same shape and mass as a body. Sounds like the person who hid the body had some mistaken idea that nobody ever looks into the bins or know what is in them, but homeowners most certainly do.

So...what happened that night after he left the first party?

Smyth said based on Cooper's injuries, Winnipeg police believe he had been murdered. He said the homeowners on Bayne Crescent are not involved in the crime.
Smyth said police raided a home at 15 Treger Bay, which belongs to Nicholas Bell-Wright, 22, who was arrested Sunday and charged with second degree murder.

Smyth said Cooper did leave with people after a party on Feb. 14 and said "It's fair to say this was drug related."

Bell-Wright was arrested early Sunday morning after the body was discovered. Bell-Wright was located in the Maples area inside a vehicle that had been reported stolen. The vehicle was reported stolen from North Kildonan.

I'm guessing Cooper was killed in the car and then Bell-Wright ditched his car and stole the one he was found with. JMO

Or, the perp simply wanted to get away from the area in a car that couldn't be identified as his own.

There has been speculation that drug activity played a part in the homicide, but Smythe refused to provide any further details on that, or the nature of the injuries Nemeth sustained. “The disappearance and murder of this young man resonated far beyond the neighborhood where Cooper lived,” said Smythe. “I think it was important that we provide this briefing to the public today, but this investigation is ongoing and far from over.”

I think CN was probably transported in the caddy that LE took from NBW's home on Friday.

I noticed in the video of the car being towed away that the front passenger side bumper was cracked and a piece was missing. I also noticed what appeared to be a dent in the passenger side rear door. http://globalnews.ca/news/2529056/w...elated-to-missing-teen-cooper-nemeth-sources/

There was a tweet I saw from yesterday when LE had Bayles Cres blocked off in the comments a guy was complaining that his car had been damaged in a hit and run a couple days before on that street, he had reported it but LE had not responded as of the tweet.

I wonder if the 2 are related.

Nicholas's name was posted on the internet at reddit 4 days ago. Can I post a link?

The big break occurred after the homicide unit became involved late last week and conducted follow-up interviews with many witnesses who had originally provided information.

"They found some inconsistencies in the information. They started to dig and it led them to the arrest," Smyth said.

Bell-Wright was arrested without incident Sunday morning around 4 a.m. in the Maples area in a stolen vehicle.

He doesn’t have an extensive criminal record but he is known to police for one conviction for assault from a couple of years ago. Investigators believe Bell-Wright acted alone.

An autopsy will be conducted on Nemeth’s body this week. Smyth declined to comment on the nature of his injuries.

quote from home owner "Roshan Pothumulla said he found Nemeth's body in his backyard around 8 p.m. Saturday.

He was watching television with his wife in the basement of his home, also on Bayne Crescent, when they heard a noise outside.

His wife opened the door and saw items scattered in their yard.

"I looked and I saw the dumpster and two legs sticking out from the … bin," Pothumulla said.

"I thought it was somebody making a joke with me, put a dummy inside, like, fooling around."

Pothumulla said he phoned police immediately. Officers arrived at the scene and told him what he saw was not a dummy.

"I'm sorry about the family and what happened to him," Pothumulla said. "It's hard to believe."

CN was placed in the backyard last night?

Whoever dumped the body didn't even try to hide it?

I'm not sure about anyone else, but if I saw two legs sticking out of a bin, I would just absolutely freak😮😣
I'm just going to assume that the body needed to be moved because the police was getting way to close to it. So whomever decided to move cooper, in the dark and somehow created more noise than they intended and didn't get a chance to hide the body to their liking.

All MOO!

"... sources told the Free Press an arrangement had been made for Cooper, who was at a house party the night of Feb. 13, to sell Xanax to another man."

"Cooper had been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, for which he took medication."

Well, his hockey teammates would have known full well about his alleged drug use (which he didn't seem to keep secret in social media) and likely knew about his 'connections'. Pity none of them did anything about all of that.

Which social media were you able to find of him? As of early last evening I couldn't find anything, could it have been deleted? I didn't search too far though.

Didn't see this posted yet: http://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/winnipeg-hockey-players-pay-special-tribute-to-cooper-nemeth-1.2787161

[h=1]Winnipeg hockey players pay special tribute to Cooper Nemeth[/h]
[After the game]... Players then shook hands, before laying Nemeth’s jersey at centre ice, making a circle around it, and taking part in a minute of silence.“It was a long minute,” said a man who identified himself as a friend, and someone who worked with the Marauders, “the place was quiet for three-four minutes,” he continued.

One look at his twitter and anyone would know he was abusing pills. It took me a few minutes to find his twitter and all its' contents.

Senseless and tragic. This has to stop.
