Cases possibly of interest for the LISK case

Looks like the body was found in the empty lot behind TJ Finley's .... I can't believe that this occurred so close to one of my regular watering holes.

Seems to me that 'dismembered' probably indicates criminal activity ... if she was hit by a car then I don't see how the legs could have ended up much further away although I am seeing reports of the police searching nearby dumpsters.

police are saying they are investigating to see if it has anything to do with the Ocean parkway dumping grounds. By the tone of the article they are going down to ocean parkway to look again.

"Tuesday’s discovery prompted Suffolk County police to send a K9 unit to the nearby Gilgo Beach area where 10 sets of human remains were found in 2011.

Police say there are no known links between the Bay Shore body and Gilgo, but that the search was conducted out of an “abundance of precaution.” "

Not sure how to perceive this ???
Police say there is no known links between the Bay Shore body and the Gilgo Beach case but STILL they
go to Gilgo Beach with a K9 unit, hmmm... to check if there were more bodies there i presume, right?

Does not make sense to me...

Arm missing too I'm hearing. Can anyone head to OP and see if they are out there searching?

Bet the killer has a cozy spot to watch the search from..hence him "watching melissa's body rot"...a house on the bay in Massapequa across from OP with a telescope? From his boat? Truthspider had a theory he deposited the skulls and dismembered parts..the earlier victims...piece by piece while bird watching....I think the killer might be a jogger who runs along OP.....he's surely an older man that someone who works on OP would have seen countless times...

a legless female right by the FI ferry...reference to the first "attributed" kill to LISK with the fire island legs from 96?

There is no place to jog over there. Your not allowed to walk on the side of a parkway unless it's an emergency.

Pickle is there a any kind of boardwalk that runs along OP on the oceanside? do people walk along the brush in the sand? It seems to me that the only person who might cut thru the brush from OP to get to the beach in some of those thick areas would be surfers?

Nothing that I recall on the ocean side. They did just finish some sort of bicycle path on the bay side of the parkway but I'm not sure if it goes into Suffolk County.

People ran by where the bodies were discovered every single day

It's odd, she matches the same height as the unidentified woman found in the Hudson River on July 4th. It's obviously not the same person but until I read she'd been seen Monday that was my first thought.
edited to add: was she seen Monday or the Fourth of July morning? The facebook article says Monday. If she was seen at 7:30 the morning of the fourth, that was about the same time as the body in the water was spotted, so it still would't be her.

July 4th, 7:30 am is the correct date she was last seen. Possibly heading to George Washington Bridge in New York according to her missing person poster.

Here is her missing Facebook:

Ok, well then that's weird. Since the likeliest reason for the woman to be in the Hudson River at that spot is because she jumped. Maybe the time/day the body was found was reported incorrectly.

edited to add: her facebook search page says the search has been called of which leads me to believe this unidentified woman is indeed her. :(

Another strange thing, I can't find the article on Newsday.com ... I saved the link and I can still access it but I cannot actually find it on their website. It was their top article this morning right, front, and center on the main page.
