"The Prosecution has 3 months
to file an indictment,
otherwise Dejan and Srđan will
GO FREE.
Police combed every inch of thr area.
Expert examinations were conducted on items taken from the car that hit the girl, as well as items from the family home of Dejan D. from Zlot,
the suspect in the murder of Danka Ilić,
but so far no expert examination has indicated the girl's DNA.
While the expert reports are pending,
the Prosecutor's Office is interviewing the witnesses,
and there are still 3 and a half months left
until the decision on the indictment is made -
otherwise the suspects of the crime will be released.
The search for her has not stopped since day one,
and police and the prosecutor's office are constantly trying to find evidence and confirm their suspicions
that the girl was killed by two men,
Srđan J. and Dejan D.
Police
have a deadline of 6 months from the arrest,
in this case a little more than the next 3 months.
This means that within the legal term,
as long as it is stipulated that the suspects can be in custody for the longest time, without an indictment being filed,
evidence must be collected that will indicate the guilt of the suspects.
For now,
these are the key pieces of evidence for the girl's death:
The last picture of Danka Ilić
Mother sent the last picture of the children to her husband, Miloš Ilić, at 1:22 p.m.
When she was unable to find Danka,
she called her husband at exactly 1:41 p.m.,
and Police at 1:45 p.m.
Between 1:45 p.m. and 1:52 p.m.,
Danka left the yard and 'walked on the asphalt'
and that this was confirmed by two eyewitnesses.
The two suspects were on a work assignment in Banjsko polje that Tuesday,
where they were supposed to check the shaft in Ozrenska street.
They arrived at 1:20 p.m.
Their car was recorded on March 26,
the day Danka Ilić disappeared,
at 1:35 p.m. and 35 seconds in Radomira Putnika Street.
The time when 'Fiat Panda' was recorded
coincides with the information that at around 1:50 p.m. Danka's mother,
looking for her daughter,
saw a white car and a man standing next to it.
During the investigation,
it turned out that it was Fiat Pand which the suspects used.
Around 2:00 p.m.,
the suspects were moving in Fiat Panda along Starobanjski Pute and soon
reached a wild dump,
where they dumped Danka Ilić's body
on the right side of the road.
They stayed at the landfill for one minute and 40 seconds, after which they returned to their place of work.
The witness described in detail what he saw on the fateful day near the landfill:
'It was on the 26th of March at around 14:45.
....
I saw a car,
I can't remember what brand it was,
next to which Srđan J. was standing,
while Dejan D. had already gone part way down the cliff full of garbage and waste.
I greeted him, however,
Srđan J. seemed confused and as if he did not want to answer.
I didn't know what happened then.
It was an unusual reaction to me,
but at the time I didn't think about why it was like that.
I found out later that the girl had disappeared.
I immediately contacted Police and told them everything I saw'."
