I think the little Google Maps guy found the exact spot (you can see the same billboard as the one in the wsmv article photo):

Using the address for this spot, it appears that the body was found 2.1 road miles or 42 minutes on foot from where Shadow's car was found:

By the way, to the immediate north of the wooded area where the body was found (or to the right of the billboard) is a train track. I think this could be Shadow ... .

I don't think she got there by herself. I think she was dumped. I still think the house sitting was a set up, or someone knew where she was going and was waiting for her. The whole thing is way too convenient, even if it turns out not to be her.

Police said the body is so badly decomposed, they can't identify the body as a man or woman. They also can't tell if foul play was involved at this time. Police believe the person was living in a nearby tent.

I agree. Someone was stalking and harassing her. What is difficult to figure out is if she was scared into hiding or if the people threatening her were successful in getting to her. It's my opinion she didn't go in to hiding. I don't think she would do that without somehow letting her mom know she was ok. JMO.

I realize this may be a stretch, but I'm sure many of you know that there was a decomposed body discovered in tall grass on a lot near 2424 Charlotte (Pike?) rd in Nashville. They said it appeared to be decomposing for a few weeks.
Of course, It's saddening that it had to be anybody, but I do hope it's not Shadow Mcclaine. Regardless of who it is, when taking a look at the site where the body was discovered, it gave rise to a possible theory, in my mind.
The body was dumped at the last place that could conceal a body before the I-40 access about 2 miles from there, which can take you up into Lincoln County, Kentucky. That is significant, because that's where the body of Desiree Sparks was found, in a remote overgrown area, a few days ago.
Could it be that there is a serial killer that was passing through both of those places, origin and destination unknown?

What stumps me is why leave the car in a private parking lot? Surely,whoever left the car there would know that it would be seen there eventually, and soon I might add. It wasn't like the car was hidden at all. It was like the car was "meant" to be found.

IMOO.

Maybe she drove to that parking lot to meet someone for some reason, she got out of her vehicle to get into theirs to talk or go somewhere and then from there she disappeared. Sometimes if one is meeting someone they don't know or don't know very well, they'll meet them in a public place, like a parking lot? (for example, purchasing somethingn from someone on Craigslist, etc)

I don't think so. I don't think we are allowed to post where he lives. He is not a named suspect. And the posts about the house sitting have been taken down. Was the house sitting mentioned in MSM anywhere?

Interesting. I've been watching the news station that posted the first article yesterday on t.v. today. They didn't even talk about the body found. No updates yet. So frustrating, hoping it's not her.

Just my personal thoughts.... about the body that was found: LE stated that it appeared the person had been living in a tent for a while. What if the person had been held in a tent for a while by person or persons unknown and not allowed to leave? Just something that went through my mind......
