Just my personal thoughts.... about the body that was found: LE stated that it appeared the person had been living in a tent for a while. What if the person had been held in a tent for a while by person or persons unknown and not allowed to leave? Just something that went through my mind......

Or the person stayed in the tent awhile before committing suicide. I think you scenario is more risky because it would be hard for the person holding her/him to not leave DNA behind.

Interesting. I've been watching the news station that posted the first article yesterday on t.v. today. They didn't even talk about the body found. No updates yet. So frustrating, hoping it's not her.

I have not been able to find any updates by anyone, which I do find somewhat curious and unusual. In the meantime, I have found a Tennessean article, which states:

"A landscaper told police that it had been about seven weeks since the last time crews had been out to cut the grass in that location." (BBM)

"Police searched for clues in a nearby homeless encampment where one tent stood empty behind a copse of trees near some railroad tracks.
It wasn't clear if the person found dead was living in the tent or not." (notwithstanding the "... corpse of trees ..." :facepalm (BBM)

I agree that is odd. Of course I am only speculating because of the lack of new info, the proximity to where her car was found and the request for life insurance information from her supervisor this morning

I don't think they determined the COD for the body found near the tent. It could be a natural death of a homeless person. Or it could be fowl play. Also last I checked, they didn't even know if the body was male or female. That said, I agree it's unlikely someone was held captive in a tent in that busy intersection area.

I didn't see any information about a tent or anything else. That gives more hope that it isn't Shadow, which also throws a cog into my serial killer theory. No matter what, considering how badly I feel regarding this whole thing, and I don't even know her, I cannot imagine the suffering her family is trying to cope with.

I didn't put most of her court dates or the outcomes of the arrests. If anyone wants to compile those I can add. I also cold not put anything about her ex or the women who filed the stalking charges (due to TOS). Unfortunately it's an incomplete picture of Shadow's life leading up to the year before she went missing, but I felt it was important to put things into perspective with her arrest history in the timeline. I wish there were more friends of Shadow speaking out and sharing what she was going through. All we have are court records, a few statements from her mom to the press and Shadow's own comments online. It seems like there is a lot of info but it is all one-sided. Even her mom's statements are somewhat filtered as being from Shadow's perspective. I want to hear from people like her boyfriend and the person she was house sitting for.

I haven't seen it anywhere either. I think Big_Bry is claiming to have some inside info. Big_Bry, you need to be a verified insider to share things about the case that are not in the MSM or released by LE. Please go through the process to get verified if you are someone close to Shadow or the investigation. We really could use a verified insider. Thanks!

Your post made me think of the sexual harassment that has occurred to dependent/family members as well.

My mother and I have both been harassed. I was not a soldier, but I was a dependent/ family member and later a wife of a soldier, as well.

Sexual Harassment occurs to many women, not just female soldiers.

I do understand your pain. It was not on a daily basis for me or for my mother but the times it did occur, was jarring.

Oh yeah, dependents get it too! I'm sorry you had to go through that. I didn't mean just military females get harassed. It's really awful. My old post commander was caught with an underage girl & a DUI. Or other soldiers' children or wives fall victim to another soldier. It just sucks all around. I wish it were different.

So from one pretty girl to the other, I say this. Your description is true for ALL careers. If you are pretty AND smart, you are a threat. Therefore, you will be held down in your career path, harassed, lied about and to, and basically punished for being born pretty. The trick to surviving is to not be your best self. However, some of us are just a bit too feisty and don't let that sort of crap dictate who we are. I strut it all baby. I let them be jealous haters. I let them say things behind my back. And I let them stay in their little menial jobs while I excel, grow, flourish and climb the ladder solidly, fairly and with my head held high. Oh, and I keep a paper trail, biches. You're so right, Gig, especially the pretty & smart part. I have the same attitude. I developed thick skin & just let it roll off my back. I'm not going to dumb myself down, either!

Just the the other day, I was introduced to my ol' man's friend's (girl he is seeing for the moment) & later on, my ol man remarked that she seemed really aloof to me. He said every time I tried to start a conversation with her, she kinda just was rude & looked the other way. Really aloof. He was surprised by it. I told him that it's pretty common. I've been told that I'm intimidating & unapproachable based solely off my looks so it seems to happen often. It really sucks because I think I am a nice person (I like me, anyways!) & I have severe social anxiety so when I do try to make friends or start conversations, if the other person is intimidated by me, it's not going to go anywhere.

Having been stalked, and having been falsely accused of things before, I can 'read' her frustration, and it's unfair! I'm thankful that when provided with evidence, the police in my area took me very seriously, and when they approached my stalker, SHE stated she had everything in a notebook! She had seriously been writing down every day, time, and place she stalked me, and what I was doing!!! She even told the investigator that she wanted my child!

The police told me the woman was obviously mentally ill, and that I needed to get mace, or concealed carry, that a piece of paper for a restraining order would NOT prevent her from harming me!!! Get this, I had NEVER met the woman!! Had no clue who she was. Had she taken my child, I would have had no idea who did it, other than 'my stalker' that I didn't know! I hadn't seen her, so no description!

But it was back during pay phones, and I went to every single pay phone in my area, and wrote the number down so when I got calls, I would know where they were coming from. Well, I lived by a store, and when that number came up on caller id, I ran outside and took a photo instead of answering the phone. Police were able to track her tag and went to her work the following day. I had been stalked for almost 18 months! Yet, no one believed me. She was even calling places claiming to be me, and then police wanted to know why I called those places, but I hadn't! I demanded they show my phone number and they couldn't, because I never called. YET, they were still threatening to charge ME! It was a living nightmare I hope to never experience again!

Holy smokes! That must've been terrifying! That's seriously scary stuff.

I also agree with you. I can read her frustration. I think I posted in the past about my daughter's abusive biological father. He did the same thing after failing to kill me but he looked good on paper. He was a cop in the military. She seems to be desperate for somebody to believe her because she knows she's not crazy but knows she's being made to look crazy. This is just my opinion but I agree with you.

I agree. Someone was stalking and harassing her. What is difficult to figure out is if she was scared into hiding or if the people threatening her were successful in getting to her. It's my opinion she didn't go in to hiding. I don't think she would do that without somehow letting her mom know she was ok. JMO.

You just made me think of something. I'm not caught up yet so forgive me if it's been brought up but if she DID go into hiding because she was that scared, she may not have told her mom because her mom could get into trouble for helping her be AWOL. She may not have wanted people to be dragged into it anymore than they already were.
