She's 29, and lived in Toronto but now lives outside of the city.

She was outside on her front step, and saw a girl get out of a cab with a little white dog and a pile of luggage.

Trevors approached the girl - who turned out to be Laura Babcock - after ten or 15 minutes, and Babcock told her she had no place to stay.

(bbm) Was this location clarified? Why would LB be dropped there? A cabbie would have been given an address. Any speculation/information? And why no date given?

I highly doubt there is any DNA evidence. We know there was very little left that could be identified as TB, I assume there was nothing left of LB. Plus, even in recent articles LBs parents stated that they still held hope that she was alive somewhere. If cops had found remains they certainly would have informed the family.

I still keep wondering if LE found any of LB's belonging's such as her suitcase, any of her clothing etc that she would have had on her when she disappeared. Where did she sleep that final night? We know that she dropped off the dog and money but where did her personal effects (other than her iPad) go? Perhaps there were some scraps left behind. I still think that it will come out that DM lured her by posing as a rich guy looking for an escort. I wonder if there was another burner phone as well.

The friend said that night "She was excited, she was going on a trip. She wouldn't stop talking about it."

The witness says she got to choose between Vegas and Disneyland. She said she was going with a doctor.

He says Babcock stayed at his house that night. The next day she left, and said she was going to get cocaine. She did not say from whom.

He said he thought she was going to a man named Jason's house the next night.

I know we're not hearing 90% of what's going on in the courtroom this time, however it seems from different reports that the judge is asking an awful lot of questions (as well as making comments, etc.), even when it's the Crown's turn.. I'm wondering.. how experienced is the Crown Attorney in this trial?

They had an inside joke, Babcock would meow in public, so the friend - last name Blasiak - took a video.

"I thought she looked goofy so I wanted to show her what she looked like to everyone else."

Babcock smiles and meows. Her parents laugh as they watch.

It is not good that this witness said that she was going on a trip with a dr. That makes it look more like she was with all these strange men and anything could have happened. People thought DM said they were going on a trip, but it was not him but a dr. I think the phone messages will be important that she made to DM. They were the last ones she made. It is a weird lifestyle she was leading just going from place to place and yet she could have stayed at her parents home. It was also unsafe lifestyle. She it seems was not afraid of DM that she should have been.

Yes, but the details like the ones presented in the TB trial will answer some questions many have.
What time did they start pinging near Maplegate?
Did she leave and come back?
When did the phone pings stop, and was it near Maplegate?
When was the last recorded ping?

Not sure that she went to Millards at that point. If she went on the 2nd, why wouldn't police theorize that she was killed between the 2nd and 4th? What day are those 8 calls to Millard?
