Judge Brandon Baker approved the request on Wednesday to send Aumen's case to Webster County. The legal team for Aumen filed in December a request to dismiss the charges filed against her. A judge has also previously declined to set a bond for Aumen.

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - One of four people charged in the death of a four-year-old Benton County girl returns to court Tuesday.
Ethan Mast, 36, is one of four charged in the death of Jessica Mast. He faces first-degree murder and other charges in the girl’s death. When he reruns to court Tuesday, he will have the opportunity to either enter a guilty plea or his case will head to trial.
Prosecutors originally charged neighbors Ethan Mast and Kourtney Aumen with second-degree murder in the case. In April 2021, prosecutors upgraded the charges against them to first-degree murder. Aumen’s charge was later amended back to second-degree murder in October.

Benton County, Mo. man enters guilty plea in death of four-year-old girl
BENTON COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) - One of four suspects charged in the death of a four-year-old Benton County girl pleaded guilty on Tuesday.
Ethan Mast, 36, is one of four charged in the death of Jessica Mast. He faced first-degree murder and other charges in the girl’s death. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges on Tuesday. He could face life in prison for the girl’s death.
Prosecutors charged Ethan Mast, Kourtney Aumen, James Mast, and Mary Mast. Aumen faces a second-degree murder charge. James and Mary Mast, the girl’s parents, face first-degree murder charges.
On Dec. 20, 2020, deputies responded to a rural home near Cole Camp and found the four-year-old wrapped in a blanket on a bedroom floor. Investigators said the girl was already dead and had bruises on her body, along with ruptured blisters. Sheriff Eric Knox said the girl’s parents also had been beaten along with a two-year-old child. An infant son of the couple was apparently unharmed.

Mother of Benton County, Mo., child killed in December 2020 enters guilty plea
Prosecutors charged the girl's parents, Mary Mast and James Mast, Kourtney Aumen, and Ethan Mast (no relation) for the death of four-year-old Jessica Mast. Ethan Mast pleaded guilty earlier this year.
Mary Mast entered a guilty plea to a first-degree child endangerment charge. Prosecutors agreed to drop seven other charges in the plea deal as long as she testifies against two other co-defendants. Prosecutors recommended to the judge she spends five years in prison.
