NV NV - Jessica Foster, 21, North Las Vegas, 29 March 2006

I find it peculiar that Peter Todd has slid under a rock somewhere. No word about him at all. I also think his twin brother should be questioned again. He lived with them for a period of time. He said Jessie and Peter fought often but he claims he didn't know what Jessie did for a living.

How could he live there and NOT know??

Glendene Grant should have been in Las Vegas last week meeting with investigators about her missing daughter, 23, who she fears fell prey to human traffickers.

Instead, she's at home in Kamloops, B.C., after being denied entry to the U.S. over a 21-year-old drug conviction.

"I have to get back down there," Grant said through tears.

Since Grant's daughter, Jessie Foster, went missing in Las Vegas more than a year ago, Grant has made three trips to the city to search for her daughter, who reportedly worked for an escort agency.

Grant never had any problems until last Tuesday, when U.S. customs officers at Vancouver International Airport barred her entry over a 1986 conviction for possession of marijuana and cocaine.

I think this is a load of c**p! This poor mom is looking for her daughter and some narrow-minded bureaucrats are whining about a drug conviction from 20 years ago? Talk about cold-hearted  I hope more news agencies pick up on this. Maybe more publicity will focus negative reviews of US border policies and also keep this case in the public eye.

One would think that once it became known that her daughter was a missing person her status could have been changed in the system. If nothing else it could be good PR to show we have people running things that have the wisdom to be flexible for the right reasons.

I remember how kindly our people from the USA were said to have been treated in Canada when many were stranded by grounded flights on 9/11.

The family of a missing North Las Vegas woman has posted a $10,000 reward through Crime Stoppers of Nevada for information about her disappearance. Officials say 23 year old Jessie Foster hasn't been heard from since a phoning her sister March 28th.
They say she didn't indicate anything was wrong, but that she usually keeps in contact with her family in Canada.
North Las Vegas police say a missing person report was filed, but investigators found no evidence of foul play. They say the woman's boyfriend reported she left him and took her belongings.

The 2 reward articles seem to leave out that Jessie has been missing over a year, and have other details I had not seen before.

I am certain the boyfriend is knee deep into this. He has a look about him that is quite frightening..... since he dropped off the map LE should really have APB's out for him. His twin should be harassed daily til he spills his guts over where he is at.
These girls never just vanished without a trace. With her being beat & hospitalized who did it???? Was it the bf?

Canadian Glendene Grant knows the chill of spending Christmas without a loved one. Her daughter Jessie Foster moved to Las Vegas in May 2005 and disappeared from North Las Vegas in March '06.

In November 2005, Foster flew home to Kamloops, British Columbia, to visit her family. On Christmas Day, the family drove her to the airport, where she caught the 3 p.m. flight back to Las Vegas.

It was the last time the family has seen Foster.

On March 28, Jessie's older sister Crystal talked to her on the phone. No one in the family has talked to her since. Her cell phone hasn't been used. Her credit cards haven't been used. She hasn't made any transactions at the bank.

"Christmas is always the hardest time of the year," said Grant. "Sometimes I just hate that the world keeps going. For me, everything stopped in March 2006."

The family of a Kamloops woman who disappeared in Las Vegas almost two years ago is hoping a $50,000 reward for information on her whereabouts will trigger a response from those who knew her at the time she went missing.

Glendene Grant, the mother of 23-year-old Jessie Foster, said she hoped the money would create the sort of leads that will help recover her daughter. The reward had previously been $10,000.

Ms. Foster's parents reported her missing to police in North Las Vegas, where she had been living, shortly after she stopped contacting them in March, 2006. The family hired a private detective who, after a short search, gave them the devastating news that their daughter had been leading a double life by prostituting herself through a Las Vegas escort service.

Ms. Grant's former husband, Dwight Foster, who is Ms. Foster's father, raised the money from adding a mortgage to his home in Calgary.

The parents of Jessie Foster, a Kamloops woman who disappeared in Las Vegas in 2006, have been asked to provide DNA samples to test against the remains of an unidentified woman found in Texas nearly 15 months ago.

Ms. Foster's mother, Glendene Grant, said two people who were aware of her daughter's disappearance contacted her after the Texas "Jane Doe" case was featured on the television show America's Most Wanted on Jan. 12.

The burned remains of the woman, a blonde like Ms. Foster, were found in the town of Kilgore, 160 kilometres east of Dallas, on Oct. 29, 2006. Careful forensic reconstruction of the victim allowed the case to appear on the crime-solving program.

Ms. Grant called Kamloops RCMP, who sent a constable to go over the forensic information provided by the program. He concluded there was a possibility of a match worth looking into. Ms. Grant contacted the North Las Vegas police department, which is leading the investigation into Ms. Foster's disappearance, and the department requested the test.

I cannot imagine what they are going through. Part of me wants this to be her so the family has closure. The other part of me wants to believe that she just ran off to get away from some very bad people.

Thinking of the family at this time.

I've been searching through online databases trying to link Peter Todd to Texas. No luck yet, but I'm going to keep trying.

Damn, now I have to find this info, but I swear I saw that he owned a house in the Dallas area (I live in this area, so I pay close attention to missing cases around here). But I could be mixing it up with another case, I follow SOOO many. I will look around.

I can't believe, I NEVER even THOUGHT about Jessie for the Kilgore Doe.

OK, I found what I was looking for right here on Jessie's websleuths thread, post #55. But the attached link no longer works.

Snipped from post:
Peter could possibly have ties to the following locations:
Atlanta GA
Kennisaw GA
Houston TX
Kent WA
Oklahoma City OK
Las Vegas NV
N Las Vegas NV
The Colony, TX (4609 Freeman Dr)

With the death of Heath Ledger, the missing Brianna Denison and some other top stories, I'm not sure if many posters here are aware of the new info in Jessie Foster's case, so I am giving a

BUMP

ella's mom,
There is a thread for this UID (Princess Lavendar to sleuthers) here at websleuths.
Here is the link to the thread.

Thanks. I followed this unidentified for a long time when she was first found. I didn't realize it was the same one.

I would love to see closure for the family as well as the many who have tried to find a match for Princess Lavendar.

I followed this UID as well, and couldn't believe I had never thought of Jessie. I don't even know what to hope for here, a match is always good, but I wish her parents could find her alive and well.

I agree. My heart broke when I read the last article where her Mom said she knows her daughter is still alive and that a mother would know if she wasn't. This makes me hope that the DNA does not match.

Has anyone heard any news about the DNA test for Jessie and Princess Lavendar?

I know these things take some time, but I was hoping to hear something.
