A few ideas:

1. Like Revamps posted, don't escorts have drivers who are paid by them to drop them off and pick them up? Who were the drivers for these girls?

2. About the phone calls made from the discovered cell phone: I wonder if the caller had some kind of accent, I mean any kind of accent i.e Bronx or any other local kind, any inflection in the voice that could tip off where the caller lived or grew up. What was said? How was it stated? All of these types of things can be important to building a profile IMO.

3. Like others have pointed out, I believe there may be other bodies located at another dump site. I wonder if another beach is the place? I absolutely think there is a connection between Atlantic City and Long Island, even though the clothes/non-clothed aspect about the bodies is strange. Where next? Cape Cod? IDK but I think there will be another location that is a beach.
 
A few things...

Brainard-Barnes was last seen in NYC, she could have easily hopped on a LIRR train out to the beach area. She then could have taken a car service or been picked up by someone. Also there are shuttle buses that run out to the beach area during the season.

The LIRR serves the beach areas all the way out to Montauk. Off season the train still stops but not as often. There are more car services in Long Island now than ever.

Police in Long Island make a lot more money than cops in the city. It's common knowledge that lots of cops live in Long Island and Staten Island. They don't want to live in the city.

It's very easy to get into Manhattan from LI by car or train. Even late at night or off season it can be done, may take longer.

SK could have some type of scanner that allows him to pick up cell phone conversations, yes it's illegal but so is SK'ing. Maybe he's stalking vics and johns. Kind of surfing them.

SK could have OCD w/fours, by grouping them, etc. If there's a 3, perhaps the 4th is nearby undiscovered.

no clothes may be because SK is close to home.
clothes may mean he is traveling and can't risk being caught with them?

goathairjones, This guy is pretty darn good at covering his tracks....very stealth, IMO.

I have also considered someone with military training. But LE seems more logical to me. I wonder if he was turned down for a job in LI and AC. He may have never graduated for basic law enforcement training.

This could be anger at LE and the ladies were the easiest targets for his little game he is playing. MOO

i find it interesting that they are still making refrences to the intelligence of the sk -- makes me think more about the guy they said "wasnt smart enough"... like they are trying to make someone mad ... no matter, im glued to my pc with this story!

SK could also be a really smart guy who for some reason never hit the high note professionally. Or if he's not LE he could be a LE buff, peripheral man
who thrives on the investigation now. When he was doing the kills before they were noticed it was much more private, now its ramped up through MSM. I think we will have a communicator soon if we don't get an arrest.
 
Thinking about the Times article, maybe LE is trying to draw this guy out. I would think LE is monitoring CraigsList and other sites. If the SK is not what they say he is, Police or some other type of LE. This would put him at ease. If someone was after you and your 6 ft with blond hair but the description says your 5 foot 2 with Black hair your going to be like great I can continue doing what I'm doing.

I think the dr. aspect is a classic frame up. It doesn't add up, I think it's more cat and mouse by JB. He knows who lives in the area. We know the killer has contacted other victims' family members. It will all fit together in the end. The only thing that isn't fitting in reports is the fact that one of the dead AC girls is reported to have spent 5 weeks in a Jericho hotel on LI in the summer before she disappeared, WELL, according to her FB page her husband HA comments on a photo of her "in the house in the Pines "(fire island, very close to gilgo)and goes on about how happy she was when he redid that kitchen, etc. HA seems like a good person who tried to save her, (Raffo) and had kids with her, long relationship etc...Might just be bad reporting. The FB post puts her VERY close to the LI victims regardless. I think, JB had a ring--a network of Johns and girls and a drug business, I think they are into VERY gross snuff-type stuff. No clothes? Maybe he likes to videotape or stream and doesn't want their clothes ID'd. The Perp is smart, and sick and evil--that much I know.

I'm not getting anything but Zeros I can hear the program but I cannot ff or rw only play and pause, it sucks.

take your cursor and left click in shaded gray bar area of player, drag down or just listen and approx. 25:00 in Gilbert interview will start.

His comment is odd to me - it's as though he's blithely unaware of all the sinister elements surrounding her disappearance and what happened that night e.g the fact that 8 bodies have been found nearby. But he couldn't be unaware, obviously. (I don't know if I explained that very well...does anyone catch my drift?!)
