I think she's currently 52. If she has 25 more years to make a 30-year sentence, she could possibly make it out.
Will she be granted release automatically after 30 years? If not, she may want to pipe down and focus on trying to be a model inmate.

They have to release her after her 30 years is complete.

This family is something else. Half of them admit the family murdered 8 people, prosecution has overwhelming evidence of guilt, but they keep appealing, trying to get out of jail. It's like they think they're entitled to wipe out an entire family with no punishment.

Billy's trial is going to be a doozy. Anyone want to take a bet on him taking the stand in his own defense, or at least trying to? He's rebelled against his own attorneys before, he probably will try to again. Maybe he will succeed in representing himself in court. That would be something else. JMO

Wow....
I want to know what everyone thinks of this!

Poor me...men have been my downfall. Can only trust female lawyers. Lawyers familiar with each other should not engage in casual conversation... (9) pages.
Only realistic reason to have representation at this time is the civil suit (wrongful death..) and she has proven herself destitute or she would not have been represented by the PDO in the first place. Realistically the only substantive outcome of the civil suit would be settlement against some of her in-laws...
This is just Karen...excuse me, Angela expressing her need for some high grade attention.

MOO of course.

I still cannot believe this horrible event was just because of a custody dispute. An entire family wiped out over such a petty thing. In my opinion, no plea deals should have been offered.
The thing about a plea deal is that you get convictions, in this case on two of the parties, and their testimony against the other two. So far--three people convicted with one to go. I'm glad Angela and Jake took pleas. That also means they have to state they are in fact guilty, instead of filing appeal after appeal swearing they're innocent. Just my opinion, though.

Kaitlyn Stephens handling argument for defense: Says this is the rare limited case that meets U.S. Supreme Court exception to move before voire dire is tried. Says presumed prejudice can be found

  • #318
Stephens: Needs to look not just at quantity of pretrial publicity but quality. Says everything out so far blatantly prejudicial - talking about prosecutors saying "we've got one more to go" and calling Billy Wagner "an evil monster"
