June 25, 2010
---
Investigators still looking for missing Wewoka boy Colton Clark was last seen near his home April 20, 2006. OSBI officials say he and his older brother lived with their aunt and uncle after their parents terminated their rights to the boys.

Investigators say initially, local and state law enforcement scoured the area near Colton's home in search of the 9-year-old. Since then, OSBI officials say agents have followed dozens of leads and continue to do so.

"Missing boy not forgotten: Colt Clark"

http://www.reddirtreport.com/oklahoma-mysteries/missing-boy-not-forgotten-colt-clark

There is strong reason to believe Colt did not flee his home. According to Seminole County Sheriff Investigator, David Hanson, Rebecca Clark placed a 911 call reporting that Colt had “jumped out the window and took off running.” When Hanson brought in a scent dog with a proven record for finding people, the dog didn’t detect any scent outside Colt’s window and did not pick up a track outside the residence beyond 10 feet.

“We found out at the time that DHS wanted to get out there to talk to Colt. They (the Clarks) kept making excuses. They would schedule an appointment but then call back and say he was sick or had to go to the doctor, they made several excuses. Finally the worker told them, ‘Look we’re coming out there today and we’re going to see Colton.’ That’s when Rebecca called 911.

A thorough search of the home and property yielded no evidence. However, Sheriff Smith said they did find a receipt from a local lumberyard dated March 1, listing items “that could be consistent with disposing of a body.” Investigators did not want to say what those listed items were.

About time! After I read an article from this past September, it seemed obvious that these people did something bad to Colton. They didn't even have a coherent reason to explain his absence. Hopefully the charges will stick and Colton can be found.

Glad you beat me to posting! I have suspected the Aunt and Uncle all along. Their story never added up. I'm glad the case was picked up and really investigated and I'm glad the Websleuthers were right on top of the developments!

I read an article about Levi about this time last year and it was the first time I had heard anything about it. I use to drive by this property daily, so very sad. I hope wherever his brother wound up that he is seeing this now and gets some answers and justice.

So glad to see movement on this case, finally.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is tight-lipped about their search. In fact, they haven't released any information about the investigation. Several agencies are helping them with the case. It's had a 10 year jump start.

The medical examiner, as well as an anthropologist from the University of Oklahoma, were on the property Saturday but left to go to another location that has nothing to do with this case.

Meanwhile, sources told News 9 Saturday’s search yielded nothing new so far...

They'll be back out there tomorrow.

Just catching up about this case. Good grief! If the aunt and uncle kept cancelling appointments to see the boys, and the boys were wards of the state, why didn't they make an unannounced visit?? Pisses me off

Homer said he saw Colton on the couch afterward, and his face was "black and blue."

He told investigators he was not sure whether or not Colton was breathing.

When he came out later, "Colton was not on the couch."

Investigators said "Homer was brainwashed to tell the story that Colton had run away."

I can't imagine what Homer lived, both before and after his brother's murder. Prayers for him.

http://www.news9.com/story/31715482...of-abuse-against-ok-boy-before-he-disappeared

Court papers state he told investigators when the Clarks first adopted them, everything was good. But soon, things changed. The boys were pulled out of school and home-schooled and that's when the abuse began.

Homer told investigators both Rex and Rebecca would beat them. Rebecca would hit them in the face with a broom with such force it would break the broom handle, and Rex would use his fist and extension cords. He said one time he was hit so hard he passed out and woke up in a large pool of his own blood. Homer said Rex even used an electric cattle prod to wake them up and would force the brothers to drink their own urine...

Rex and Rebecca Clark are yet to be formally charged, but are accused of first-degree murder, death of a child by injuring torturing and maiming, abuse of a minor child, child neglect, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
