GUILTY PA - Jennifer Brown, 43, didn't pick up son from bus stop, car parked at home, Limerick Twp, Montgomery Co., 3 Jan 2023 *arrest*

I'm local to the area and have been following this, particularly because a) I'm a mom of two boys and this really breaks my heart for her kids and b) my husband used to live in this condo complex with his mom when we first started dating in our early twenties. My mother-in-law actually still owns her condo there but rents it out. I wanted to provide some context for the complex.

None of these condos have garages. Everyone parks outside of their condos in parking lots. So her car was definitely outside, not in a garage.

One thing that crossed my mind is perhaps she went outside to take a call because I remember the cell reception in my MIL's condo being horrendous. We used to have to call her landline to get through to her sometimes, and I rarely had cell service when I was in there. Most of the first floor condos have small patios, enough space for a little table or chairs. So maybe she went out there to smoke or take a call? Or perhaps she was coming back from the store and something happened as she was getting out of the car.

I'm surprised no one in the complex saw anything. It's quite a large, populated neighborhood <modsnip - no source link for image>

I was just watching the local news and they spoke with the person that had her son over for a sleep over. I am unfortunately not able to find the clip anywhere to share as a source. So frustrating!
Found it! A lot of info here, says who last saw her and that same person had her son overnight

"The last person to communicate with her on Tuesday was her business associate, [BW].

Action News talked to him over the phone on Monday. He did not want to do an interview, but said the two were going to open a restaurant together. He didn't think anything was out of the ordinary the day she disappeared."

" was last seen at 2 p.m., Jan. 3, 2023 by a friend and business associate. Brown was scheduled to pick up her son from the bus stop the following afternoon on Jan. 4, 2023"

So, she was last seen TUESDAY 1-3 2 PM by business associate, but scheduled to pick up son WEDNESDAY 1-4 afternoon. So where did the son sleep Tuesday night? Who took the son to school on Wednesday? The son must not have seen her Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, if she was last seen on Tuesday?

"The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said Brown's car keys, wallet, purse and work cellphone were found inside the vehicle.

Her personal cellphone was not found"

If she worked remotely, she might have to sign up through some kind of authentication on the phone. I imagine that would be on her work cellphone, if that was part of the process, which was inside the vehicle. So if she had to do some kind of authentication, she could not do it with the work cell phone in the car.

Didn’t he say he didn’t see her since 2pm? But her son was sleeping at his house? Wouldn’t that put it later because they had school Tuesday and if he’s 8 he most likely doesn’t get home till 3:30 or so and then to go to his house.

The NBC10 article (link is a few posts up) says: “Watts-Richardson told NBC10 he was with Brown on Tuesday and took her 8-year-old son to his house for a sleepover that night.”

Watts-Richardson is the business associate who is the last known person to see her.

I got that wrong. The work cell phone was inside the house with the purse and other things. The work cell phone could have valuable information. Interesting that one phone is missing and not both. If someone did not know her, they could mistakenly grab either phone, or both.

He's also the last person she tagged in a photo last Sunday. So he was with her Sunday. And Tuesday during the day? Decided to keep the kid overnight while she......what.....went out? Did her son see her after school Tuesday or did this guy pick him up from school/the bus?

Pennsylvania has records available to look up and see if anyone, say, has an open harassment case or something. Hypothetically, IMO, just a thought.

ETA: i'm also curious what kind of business partnership they had. Did she invest in his restaurant? Did he owe her money? <modsnip - sleuthing person not named POI>

ETA again: OK, I watched the clip. I see she was supposedly going to open the restaurant with him. It seems to me this restaurant was probably very far off from actually opening (liens and all) <modsnip - sleuthing person not named POI>

Although I don't know exactly what School District her child goes to this is from that town
This is their calendar https://resources.finalsite.net/ima...rd/zvmhqb8hidt2mcub2zwp/2022-2023Calendar.pdf
School didn't start back up until 1/4.
So the friend saw Jennifer on 1/3 and that's when her son went with friend. He didn't miss school. Maybe friend has children same age and had a play day and kept him because she had plans. It's been done before.

BBM - Why didn’t he want to do an interview?

I'd like to know why he took her son that day. Is that a routine occurrence? Are there other people in the home? IIRC this person lives in Philly.

So the last time she was seen was by both her son and this “business associate” as she departed and they were going to have a sleepover?

I hope specialists are talking to her son in case he witnessed anything.

Very much did not like that ex post however!
Unfortunately I am pretty convinced she met with foul play.
:(

Per that calendar, classes resumed Tues Jan 3. It lists winter break as Dec 26-Jan 2.
