It is the MOMMIES that need to be protecting their children....if you are in a violent situation....GET OUT....sadly, most of these women don't have the means or wherewithall to do that...they are trapped in a lot of these situations.....mysteriew said:I am so sick of this. Little kids. Missing then found dead. Daddies and boyfriends implicated, then proven to be connected. I am just so sick of it!
Prayers for her family, she is at peace, but their pain is just beginning.
Well if it is the step-father....then they finally have something on him to put him away....too bad it didn't happen when the other missing person case pointed the finger at him....now he has taken 2 livesRCOOKE said:With her being found now there's a lot better chance of finding evidence to convict whoever did this. It has been over a week but hopefully the clues are there.

For some women, I guess, domestic violence is just "normal" everyday behavior....having grown up that way...being beaten as a child etc. They have never seen or felt anything different except years of horrible physical abuse....so maybe some don't even realize that as a woman in a free country such as the U.S., you don't have to live like that....but as a minority you have an uphill struggle just to overcome the stigma surrounding the circumstance.....no where to turn....so sad....mysteriew said:So many times domestic violence victims aren't seen as victims (even by themselves) and not enough attention is being paid to the danger these guys represent.

For sure all they get is a slap on the hands & allowed to go back & harass the true victime.mysteriew said:That is just the point. In the US, a domestic abuser will often get a suspended sentence and probation, maybe a fine that goes to the court. A protection order, is only in effect a warning to the abusers. But in order to be eligible for a protective order, they almost have to committed a crime anyway. And a protective order (in spite of it's name) does not offer any type of protection, only penalties if they break it. And those penalties aren't that severe.
Often the only recourse for a victim is to move to another area of the country, change their name and more or less go underground. And if they have kids, they can't do that because of visitation orders.
