*Set Sentencing Hearing (@ 8:40am PT) – WA – Benjamin Eastman III (16) (June 23, 2018, Randle; found June 28, 2018) –
for *Jonathon Robert Adamson (21) arrested (6/30/18), charged (7/2/18) & arraigned (7/11/18 & 3/7/19) with a total of 10 counts- 1st degree aggravated murder, 1st degree aggravated assault, 1st degree kidnapping, 1st degree rape, 1st degree rendering criminal assistance, unlawful disposal of remains, 2 counts of tampering with physical evidence & 2 counts of tampering with a witness. Plead not guilty to all charges. $10M bond.
Trial was set to start 8/5/19.
3/7/19 Arraignment on new charges of 1st degree aggravated murder. Plead not guilty to new charges. Next Suppression hearing on Adamson’s statements on 6/17. Trial confirmation hearing on 8/1. Trial starts 8/5/19.
6/17/19 Update: Statements to LE will be allowed at trial. Suppression motion-denied. Evidentiary & exhibit list, order sealing document. Next trial confirmation hearing on 8/1. Trial still on for 8/5.
7/3/19 Update: Adamson plead guilty to 1st degree murder, 1st degree rape & 2nd degree kidnapping in Eastman’s death, and pleaded guilty to an additional two counts of witness tampering dating to Feb. 2019. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled. A review hearing is set for July 25 to set sentencing date. Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer said Adamson will need to complete other terms of his plea agreement before that time, including providing a full and accurate account of Eastman’s death. The plea agreement includes an agreed-upon sentence for Adamson of 510 months, or 42 and a half years, to life in prison.

only for *Michael D. Salazar (17) arrested (7/19/19), charged (7/22/19) & arraigned (8/1/19) with 1st degree murder, tampering with evidence & 1st degree rendering criminal assistance. $250K Bond.
Court documents allege that he knew about the plan to assault Eastman before it happened, but did nothing to warn anyone and furthermore physically prevented his ex-girlfriend from alerting anyone.
7/22/19 Preliminary hearing on 7/22. Bond set at $250K. Appointed an attorney. Next Arraignment & trial setting hearing on 8/1.
8/1/19 Update: Next Omnibus hearing on 8/15, trial confirmation hearing on 9/12 & trial starts 9/16.
8/15/19 Update: Waived his right to a speedy trial. Trial confirmation hearing on 9/12 & trial date 9/16 have been stricken. Next Omnibus hearing on 9/12. Trial might happened in October.
*Amanda Lyn Hagerty (42) (Salazar’s mom) arrested (7/19/19), charged (7/22/19) & arraigned (7/25/19) with 2 counts of 1st degree rendering criminal assistance & misleading LE. $250K bond. Bonded out (7/29/19)
Trial set to begin 12/9/19.
7/22/19 Preliminary hearing on 7/22. Bond set at $250K. Appointed attorney. Arraignment & Trial setting hearing on 7/25.
7/25/19 Update: Next Omnibus hearing on 8/15, trial confirmation hearing on 9/12 & trial starts 9/16.

*Gerald Thompson (24) was charged (7/24/19) & arraigned (8/13/19) with 2 counts of tampering with witnesses. He was placed on unsecured bail, meaning he will remain out of custody throughout the case as long as he abides by certain conditions of release. $10K unsecured bail.
8/13/19 Update: Arraignment hearing. Originally charged with 1 count of tampering with witness, at arraignment charged with 2 counts (talked with Adamson & Marquez). He is older bro of both. No update in court site as of 8/25
*Review Hearing for below (@ 10:30am PT) – WA – Benjamin Eastman III (16) (June 23, 2018, Randle; found June 28, 2018) –
for *Kindra Rose Adamson (43) arrested (7/10/18) & charged (7/11/18) & arraigned (7/19/18) with 2 counts of 1st degree Rendering Criminal Assistance. Plead not guilty. Was a $1M bond, Judge reduced it to $100K. Also allowed to reside in County other than Lewis if/when she’s released.
She knew of murder 6/23-24; withheld info from LE.
8/9/18 Update: hearing cancelled to 8/10 for Plea Change Hearing. Other dates stay the same. 8/10/18 Update: Pleads guilty to rendering criminal assistance. Faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, but under State guidelines more than likely will face a prison term of 12 to 14 months. As a condition of a plea bargain will likely be called by the state to testify against her sons. As part of the plea agreement, if she follows all the conditions of her release, one of the felony counts would be knocked down to a misdemeanor, with a recommended sentence of credit for time served.
8/18/18 Update: Sentencing set for 10/25 was cancelled, had review hearing on 11/29. Will be sentenced last. Review hearing 1/10. 1/24/19: Both sides ask for continuance. Review hearing on 2/28. 2/28/29: Next Review hearing on 3/28.

for *Benito “Benny” S. Marquez (16) arrested (7/2/18) & charged (7/2/18) & arraigned (7/19/18) with 1st degree murder, 1st degree rape, tampering with physical evidence & unlawful disposal of remains. Plead not guilty. $10M bond each.
Marquez is charged as adult. Can have contact w/family except those charged.
7/19/18 Update: Next: Review hearing/set trial date on 10/18. 10/18/18: Trial date has been set. Next Omnibus hearing on 12/20, Trial Confirmation hearing on 3/28/19-cancelled, and trial starts 4/1/19-cancelled.
2/14/19 Update: Will be pleading guilty, plea hearing on 2/22. 2/22/19: Guilty plea entered. The two sides agreed on a recommended sentence of more than 34 years. Because Marquez was 16 at the time of the crime, he can petition for release after 20 years. Review hearing on 3/28. Judge will wait to sentence Marquez until after he appears as a witness in the trial of his older brother, Jonathan Adamson.
3/28/19 Update: Plea entered. Review hearing on 5/2. 5/2/19 Update: Review hearing continued to 6/6 @ 1pm.

for *Emma Lucinda Brown (20) (fiancée of JA) arrested (7/11/18), charged (7/12/18) & arraigned (7/19/18) with 2 counts of 1st degree Rendering Criminal Assistance. Plead not guilty. $1M bond reduced to $100K bond & released on 7/13/18.

10/6/18 Update: Motion to delay trial on 10/8 granted. Omnibus hearing 11/1, Trial confirmation hearing 11/15, jury trial will start 11/19.
11/1/18 Update: Hearing on 11/15 & trial on 11/19 have been cancelled. Next Omnibus hearing on 1/3, Trial confirmation hearing 1/24 & trial set for 1/28/19. 1/17/19: Trial date 1/28/19 cancelled & also hearing on 1/24. 5/2/19 Update: Review hearing is stipulated. Next Review hearing on 6/17.
6/17/19 Update: Officially plead guilty, siting Alford plea, meaning, McGhie said to Judge James Lawler, she doesn’t necessarily agree with the charges against her, however if the evidence is presented to a jury, she acknowledges they will likely find her guilty. Lewis County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer, if Brown is to plead guilty to both counts against her & follow a list of other orders, the charges will be downgraded later. One of the counts will be changed to a non-felony count of rendering criminal assistance & the other to making a false statement. The recommended sentence from the prosecutor’s office will be credit for time served. And must complete to comply with the plea agreement is making a recorded statement to law enforcement, passing a polygraph test & serving as a state witness in any other case connected to hers. No update as 8/25
