Very sad to hear the news of David’s passing.

If you all get a chance, watch the documentary Echo in the Canyon. Some great stories about the early days of CSNY, and other bands too.

Here is a clip with David:

Deja Vu and Long Time Gone...a couple of my favorites. Glad I still have that Deja Vu albumn and it's not too scratched after hours and hours of playing. So sad that talent has passed.

Way back in 1970 my family went camping at Big Sur, CA. We happened to get the campsite next to David Crosby, his bandmates and friends. Sometime in the evening they started jamming. I remember the big speakers in the trees. My brothers, who were 13-14 years old, thought this was the coolest thing they ever experienced, until they saw my dad walk over to Crosby's party and asked him to please turn down the music. I'm not sure my brothers were ever able to get over that. I can still hear my dad saying "them damn hippies".

Sad to hear of his passing.

This makes me so very sad, like the rest of you here his music is woven into my life in so many ways. My dog's name is Secret Garden Wind on the Water, he's called Crosby -- he got a few extra squeezes when I came home this evening.

I had the privilege of seeing him and Graham Nash perform many years ago at Cornell's Barton Hall, I had a balcony seat that was almost directly over Crosby's head. Every time he looked up at us and grinned it was like the sun came out :)

I saw him and Nash on the same tour! I was 3/4 rows from them and it was absolutely amazing!
