I saw Crosby, Stills, and Nash in concert only once. It was one of best concerts I have ever seen.

One of the reasons I love this song so much is that it's one that shows David's voice where he trades back and forth between SS. He had one of those voices that melds so well with other vocal ranges making his vocals perfect for harmonizing. But he had a cool jazzy tone to his voice which I loved.

I was fortunate enough to see them multiple times. The CSNY show with Neil Young was my personal favorite. Nothing like it imo. I have a terminal lung disease and seeing them in concert one more time was something I had my heart set on doing. So very sad.

I'm so sorry!

I had the same good fortune to see them many times in different configurations. The last time I saw CSN was a few years ago when they were opening for Tom Petty. My favorite show was in 1990 in Buffalo, they opened for the Grateful Dead -- Crosby stood at the edge of the stage barefoot and sang his heart out. Our seats weren't close but the sound was wonderful.

I'm glad that you got to see them several times!

What a tragic loss to the entire music community.

I think everyone has a special connection to "the music of your youth", your teen years... The music speaks to all of your emotions as well as what is going on in our society as a whole during those formative years. If you are a really talented musician, your music transcends through later generations. David Crosby definitely did that.

I've listened to a lot of music today and CSN & Y was featured in much of it, back to Woodstock. I had forgotten how much his early music reminds me of Jerry Garcia and the Dead. It's a sad day.

RIP

I never got a chance to see CSN&Y, but I did see Neil back in the late 1970's.
They just don't make music like that any more.... I am glad I grew up when I did (60's and 70's).
