From the NewsNationNow.com article posted by @Gardenista:
“Mom had the kids for the summer and went out of the county with the kids, and if he had known of or thought there was abuse going on, he would have been all over it,” Kester said Tuesday on “CUOMO.” “(The alleged abuse) happened in a house that was a couple hundred miles away from where Mr. Franke was.”

I'm still confused about where the dad was (which town) and were the two middle kids living with him or were they staying "with friends." Were Jodi and Ruby in Ivins, UT at Jodi's house, just outside St. George, UT?

I am curious if Jodi was home when the boy escaped through the window or were the two children alone in the house?

Anyone know?

I know neighbors of the Franke mcMansion (located in Springville UT) claim the two oldest minor girls were left alone at that residence for weeks on end with zero adult supervision. Either Kevin was told they were "staying with friends" in order to deny him the opportunity to spend the time with them, or he is fibbing now and knew all along the older minor girls were unsupervised at his former residence.

Jodi and Ruby were indeed living at a residence owned by Jodi along with the two youngest minor Franke children in Irvins, UT

Springville is about 3 and 3/4 hours drive and over 250 miles from Irvin. No mention has been made about where specifically Kevin is residing but it has been noted that he had not been residing in the family home in Springville for approximately a year.

these reviews of Jodi and ConneXions are interesting and very telling IMO. Those who compared her to Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell were on the money IMO.

ETA she basically "audits them ala scientology and then convinces the wives that their husbands are sex or 🤬🤬🤬🤬 addicts, the wives kick out the husbands and the the wives are in her sway eating her every single syllable as if they were candy.

Good gravy.

Good gravy.

If they're that far along the cult playbook, it's kind of shocking that no one is dead yet. (That we know of?)

Insurance and/or tax fraud is probably in there somewhere at least. JMO

Those kids are going to need a lot of "real" therapy.

One telling item is that in the Probable Cause document it was mentioned that it took EMS 4 hours to convince the youngest child to go for medical help. Who knows what she believes and who she is afraid of.
Thankfully the middle two kids weren't harmed in the acute way that the two youngest ones were, but they will have their own emotional abuse and potentially skewed thinking to overcome.

So sad.

The records show police responded the home more than a dozen times during the last four and a half years; several of those visits were related to concerns about the children's well-being.

Springville Police visited Franke's home 15 times between March 2019 and August 31. During at least five of those visits, police were assisting DCFS.

In April 2022, a Springville police report revealed the agency had been alerted that two children were "running out in the road unsupervised," and the caseworker requested police drive through the area. The officer wrote they responded but did not see any kids in the street.

Months later, on Sept. 18, 2022, police responded to the Franke home again, this time at the request of Franke's oldest adult daughter. According to the report, neighbors informed her that her younger siblings had been left home alone for days while Ruby Franke was in St. George with her friend.

Officers responding wrote they saw children in the home, but the children would not answer the door. "Officer's seen the children on the phone and go upstairs where they were out of sight," the report states.

When police approached neighbors who'd gathered outside, "They immediately started telling (us) about how the mother of the residence, Ruby Franke, will leave her children home for extended periods of time and go to St. George to spend time with her friend Jodi Hildebrandt," the officer wrote.

"Everyone who came to the scene was very concerned about the children and them being left at home alone," the report states.

Police documented neighbors' names and contact information, noting several were willing to provide information and evidence to DCFS. "Central intake was contacted and a report started," the officer wrote. Springville police confirmed that means the information was provided to DCFS.

Police call records for the address show officers followed up days later, on Sept. 22, 2022, then visited the home three more times on Sept. 23, 26, and Oct. 3 to assist DCFS.
[snip]
Charging documents do not indicate either Franke or Hildebrandt participated in interviews with investigators.

"Ms. Hildebrandt requested a lawyer and did not speak with us. Once given her charges, Ms. Hildebrandt informed me (the children) should never be allowed around any other kids," police wrote.

Jodi seems to be more than a bit Vallowish. The two youngest children should never be allowed around other children????! Why - because they're so very mired in distortion? Doesn't sound far from Lori's claims that her children were demonic. These poor kiddos.

Imagine being a kid, home for days without adults/parents, and the police pound on the door. Police are not quiet when knocking - I'm sure they knocked loudly and shouted out who they were. That would be startling to kids! After the police left, I'm sure they were jumpy and nervous until (and maybe even after) their parents arrived.

What in the world? Why to do the parents leave together and leave the kids? What were they doing?

From reading the last 15 entries on this thread, it sounds like DCFS is what dropped the ball. Is anyone else thinking that was the problem?

I also think, like Lori, Ruby and probably Jodi consider the only authority over them to be God. My hunch is they will say they do not recognize police or the courts as having jurisdiction over their rights as parents. I don't expect that to have any sway over what happens to them under the law, though.

I may be wrong but listening to snippets of the 911 call and exchanges between officers and dispatchers, Ruby turned up at the hospital LE took the youngest son to. there were exchanges about making sure the hospital knew that she was not be allowed access to her son. That leaves me to conclude she was not at the house when LE went into it.

Sounds like A. and J. were capable of surviving on their own and quickly realized that if they did and said what Ruby and Jodi expected of them, they would be left alone. Those poor girls most likely understood that their best shot was just to go along with it and get out as soon as possible like the oldest two did.

I wouldn't be surprised if R. and E. were so abused just for the simple fact that, being younger they needed some actual help and an adult to do what adults should do. A 12-year-old and a 9-year-old without any adult supervision must have been so lost and confused. And if the older girls were actually going to school while the youngest were being "homeschooled" then that means that they were left home alone the whole day. One of th girls was also working, so that's even more time alone.

A. turned 16 in april, I wonder if she was driving. I doubt anyone teached her. How were these kids just surviving?

Withholding food is just bizarre to me. It's like denying a child air as punishment. "You can breathe when you behave!" is the same as providing food only when you approve of a child's compliance to your own will.

I'm so sorry kids grew up like this. :(

Randy Kester, the attorney for Kevin Franke, denied the children’s father had any role, saying he was not living in the house where the alleged abuse.

This is complete and total nonsense IMO. He's been in that household nearly the entire time the kids were being raised there. He has seen Ruby harass her children to take videos of them shaving their legs for the first time, etc, sleep on bean bags, have their door taken away... everything. He is complicit.

ConneXions, Jodi and Ruby's "advice" business had a podcast. I've only glanced at a few of the episode topics/descriptions so far, but these are clearly concerning.

For example (bolding by me; italics are my comments)...

Episode 242: (Ruby)
It is no surprise that children are growing up in a predatory society. Businesses, schools, governments and special interest groups are all finding ways to exploit and make profits off of our children. How do we, as the adults in their lives, keep them safe?

(Ruby was doing exactly that....exploiting her children for profit.)

Episode 241: (jodi)
Holding Onto Trauma Will Make You Sick.
The Truth about experiencing life is that most of us have experiences that are upsetting and even traumatizing. This is absolutely part of the human experience.
The Truth is we are not meant to stay there in those experiences. We are meant to move through the upset and the trauma.

(And these two women were perpetuation trauma on these children!)

Episode 236: (Ruby)
Keeping Kids Safe in a Predatory Society.
In this podcast, a mother asks how she can preserve a relationship with her adult children.
Preservation is an outcome of applied principles. For example, preserving meat requires application of salt, brine, time drying and/or freezing temperatures.
The idea of "preserving" a relationship also requires application of principles. Tune in and see how a mother is encouraged to "preserve" her relationships by sharing the Truth with her adult children who aren't so eager to hear it.

(Very ironic since Ruby has driven away her two eldest children.)

Found on Spotify, Apple podcasts, etc.
