Interim discussion regarding questions from the jury and Arias on the stand #81

Do you guys remember JM asking her several times where MM lived? She said somewhere in Utah. Maybe he hitched a ride to visit family? I am sure I am totally off on this one. It was another one of those things brought up and dropped. It was done that day he was talking to her about the magazine codes.

he didn't aid or abet intentionally....obviously at the time she wasn't telling people of her murder plans. he was flipped on her in trial where the real JA was pushed in his face and he was forced to see it clearly. Geez he didn't even want his face shown-nor would I! She threw him and everyone who she supposedly cared for under the bus. I will not believe her on alcoholism or smoking unless he clarifies...since we all know JA is prone to some *slight* exaggeration and fabrication to those who cross her. Just another schmuck taken in by a nasty sociopath.

I realize he was one of her victims, but IMO he did too much evading and not remembering for me to consider him forthcoming.

Huge discrepancy of events on January 22nd, the day JA claims her finger got broken, I wish that JM could clear up.

Vs. the texts from that very same day (Jodi's are incoming and TA are outgoing)

And did you notice that Juan just ignored that. I think she was wanting to say "did you say "we" ... who was with you?" .... he didn't bite and was probably going to throw somebody else under the bus ... or set up an alibi/witness to her actions. Thoughts?

Only that somebody did ask her - Nurmi? and she said her sister. IIRC

Remember she had visited her boyfriend and his family before on an exchange program in Costa Rica. Therefore the passport.

At age 28, (born July 9, 1980), she may have been bumping up against or even beyond her passport expiration date, given that the Costa Rica trip was ostensibly prior to her high-school dropout date.

Probably right on the line or very close to it, as a U.S. passport is valid for ten years for those at least 16 years of age at issuance, five years for minors.

However, passports can be renewed for up to five years beyond expiration date.

I'm trying to remember the Arias answer to juror question #91, "Why did you move from Big Sur to Mesa?" I believe her answer was less than, shall we say, candid and that she took some time composing it. Was it something like wanting to be with her AZ friends and the good wards in Mesa? Of course, this is the same month she claimed Travis was courting her, in other questioning.

Yeah, her story that TA "convinced" her to come to Mesa after they broke up, but then allegedly "demanded" she not live in his church ward. I thought someone said that in her interrogation TA was "freaked out" when she moved to Mesa. Does anyone remember that?

Can someone tell me what time it is in Az now so I can sort out time differences? Cheers :)

Kinda like when he changed the subject immediately after asking her what she told Alyce LaVoilette. That one made my head spin.

I wanted the prosecutor to follow up with a picture that she drew in court and sold online on ebay. The 1 that was snow white with a black eye, smiling, with tears!

What a nice positive entry that would have been in her journal. I guess she plain old forgot to make mention of it. It wasn't that important. Rrrright!

Can someone remind me what time of day that the marriage proposal on the phone with said? I cannot remember. is it something that Juan has yet to follow up?

What time is it in Australia? My parents are there on vacation...

:seeya:

It's ridiculous for JA to say that she lent Travis money! I was so glad that a juror asked her how she is able to remember the exact amounts she lent the poor boy. I think Travis lent/gave her a lot more money than she would care to tell. I'm sure she also borrowed from family and guys who were blinded by her good looks (now she looks like a witch). She lived with her grandparents so maybe she stole from them too just the way KC did from her grandma.

JA doesn't battle an eyelid about the fact that she butchered a man. What's stealing compared to that? Bet she did it all the time.

If only Jodi didn't forget to remember Steve Martin:

"I forgot first degree premeditated murder was illegal".

Yes, that was during her interview with Flores.

Not sure if this is when one of the juror's was approached by the media and the judge said she had arranged to have them escorted to and from the bus each day by security. MOO

IIRC, this happened later and was reported by the juror him/herself, not Sandy Arias.

I think Judge Stephens took this action at end of January after juror reported the approach, and there was no second voir dire of the reporting juror or the other 17.

I am listening to some old testimony and the name Ashley and Dustin Thompson was brought up. And I have seen that the Jodi adorers have some conspiracy theory regarding them. Does anyone know what this is about?

Here is my question:

Is there any logical reason why she refilled the 3 gas cans in Salt Lake City if she was not driving through Arizona on her trip home? I first assumed it was to remain "off the grid" in terms of purchases in Arizona on the trip back but she didn't go that way.

Do you think she filled those gas cans in SLC to further corroborate her story about filling the gas cans to avoid spending more money on higher priced gas in California? I assume she had burned all her evidence by that point, so she didn't need the full gas cans anymore...

I'm not so sure the gas, in part, wasn't to burn the evidence.
Did she have the gun, knife, bloody clothes etc with her when she saw Ryan that evening?
Maybe that's why they took two cars to that business meeting? (which I am still confused about but...what else is new?)

Who knows. Jodi will go on to her next life with the sorted truth. I hope it's true that your life passes you by as you get close to death. Because a review of the TRUTH as to how/why she killed Travis will serve her well.... as she gets strapped down and the needle is injected.

"He's Just Not That Into You" is just starting on the E channel on the east coast.
Too bad a certain someone can't watch it. :giggle:
