Thanks! The bolded part says there was interviews and text messages released, but I don't see those. Am I missing something? Thanks for the link to the audio recordings. :blowkiss: We've read those but haven't heard them.

I was wondering the same thing :confused:

I'm wondering if it is just a generic introduction to all of the documents that have been previously released. They probably should have worded it to say something like, "The state has been releasing interviews, text messages, and <blah, blah, blah>...here are the most recent documents released."

Can you give some more detail about this story? This is the first I've heard of it.

Greenwood Cemetary Search - Wed., Nov. 19

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I understand that this Wednesday, November 19, a search will be conducted by a private group with cadaver dogs. I got this information from a post on a website from a female nurse (Mrs. Sharon) who claims:

(1) she went searching for Caylee on a hunch in the Greenwood cemetery area (Orlando) on October 17:

(2 during the search, she found clothing buried 6-7 inches in the ground (not anywhere near a a marked grave) in an area near a body of water and the clothing included a woman's sports bra and children underwear with pooh bear on it;

(3) the clothing had the strong smell of human decomposition;

(4) human bone was also allegedly found; and

(5) she filed a report that day in Orlando with Detective Andre Borin (police report number 08449690.).

She says she called police from the area and that "the evidence was carefully collected by a CSI team." She doesn't know much about the search of the water and was told by police there was some limited searching. Police won't comment on what they found in terms of the value of the evidence."

Another poster has obtained a copy of the police report for verification.

Wow, that was a month ago these items were located? I would think they'd have the DNA on the bone back by now. So the person who found these items hasn't had any further contact with the detective about whether or not it pertains to Caylee's case?

Here's a link to a Fox Orlando story about tomorrow's hearing on several motions, the gag order among them.

Apparently Jose gave a news conference this afternoon, and there is a short clip in the video of him explaining that he doesn't want the gag order because all of the leaks have come from "the government" and "legally speaking, I have the right to respond to false allegations that are made out there".

Nothing we haven't heard before, but one nugget of interest is the fact that at the press conference, several news stations were served with subpoenas, and Fox plans to fight it.

No mention of who filed the subpoenas.

Why can't Baez use pen and paper to write things down? Does he REALLY NEED a computer? And how much more can Casey contribute to the case that she hasn't already done in all the hours she spent in his office.

Plainly speaking, I believe Casey can add quite a bit to her case. She and her attorney may be fighting for her life. Regardless of what we may think of her, she does have a right to defend herself. Months have gone by and many things have transpired since she spent all the days in her attorney's office. She needs to be totally involved in her defense as the case move along. The only problem for her and her defense attorney - she doesn't seem to be able to tell the truth. How do you defend someone like that?

11/21/2008 A MOVANT, WKMG-TV LOCAL 6'S MOTION TO INTERVENE FOR THE LIMITED PURPOSE OF OPPOSING MOTION CONCERNING EXTRA-JUDICIAL COMMENTS

This is from the court clerks web-site. My guess is the subpeonas have to do with the gag order. Maybe?? Local 6 is pulling other media outlets into their motion opposing the gag order. ??? jmo

I thought it had to be filed with the County Clerk and that if it isn't filed they can't have it until a certain period just before the trial and only if the prosecution is going to use it. I may be wrong on this but that's how I understood it.

Right. Not everything that LE is working on is filed with the County Clerk. If LE sends it over the the SA's office, they may or may not file it with the county clerk - depending in if they plan on using it in trial.

I thought the subpeonas of the news agencies were because beaz is trying to find out where the leaks came from.. I may have dreamed it.. but I really thought i heard that somewhere ..

Or he wants to show the unprecedented publicity involving this case so that he can then argue AGAINST the gag order. :gavel::Banane57::confused::bang::deal::rolleyes: There really is no emoticon to convey the crux of the Baez motions. It just doesn't exist...

Whether it looks 'right' or not Baez, as KC's, legal counsel is entitled by law to everything the State has gathered in its case against KC. I must respectfully disagree about him having to cite cases or make any written argument in support of his motion to compel. This is standard stuff and the judge does not need any case law to guide him on the rules of discovery.

I know everyone dislikes Baez, but I fail to see what he is doing wrong. He is representing his client to the best of his professional ability. The State has to turn over the requested documents or it will be barred from being used against KC at trial. Not only the information in the requested documents as well as the documents themselves, but any information gained by the use of the documents.

Yes, Baez will challenge the training of the dogs and handlers as well as the forensic tests from the labs. Again this is standard procedure. Nothing out of the ordinary.
